You sure? There are still a couple people I'm after. You sure you don't want to steal a one or two more from me?

You can't steal something that wasn't yours. :p

Sorry man, my team ratings suck so I may need them more than you. I'll say the FS and TE you landed in the post season are better than any I got earlier.

I had a ton of roster room this year, even though I got a full class I'll probably only cut 3 people and none of them from this class.
You know, "medical hardships...." /Saban

My next class will be much more focused.

I had a couple top 150 recruits come in rated in the 60s also. However, I'm not going to complain, I had a couple surprises also. I recruited the #94 rated CB, a Juco, and he came in rated 76. I had another JUCO come in around 75 too.

Overall, this class is what I expected where it's ranked. I have 2-3 guys rated 77, several in the mid 70s, some in the low 70s, and 5-6 in the 60s.

The biggest disappointment to me in recruiting this years game is the total lack of good running backs. There may be 1 or 2 viable guys at RB who actually have speed and ball skills in recruiting classes, but Alabama will land both of them. What they did with Bama in this game is beyond retarded.

Hell, one of my RBs who came in at 74 has a 79 speed, 79 accel, and 81 agility. I was hoping to switch him to FB when I recruited him because of his C+ strength, but the ratings weren't there. The #11 HB who was supposed to be the guy sucks. A 5'9, 185 lb "power back" with 83 speed and C break tackle. He'll never start.

That being said, I finally have my originally crappy team to a respectable level. I'm still looking forward to the season with them.

My entire class sucked. Everybody was rated 57-62. When you're replacing about 20 seniors, that really sucks. I wasn't expecting anything great, starting off with a 2-star school, but this was still disappointing nonetheless. I thought some of it might have to do with the fact I took over after the season had already started - it was just far enough along that I would've killed my entire class if I reset my board from what the CPU had already done. Judging by the other comments in this thread, maybe that didn't have as much to do with it as I thought.

My top recruit as far as I'm concerned was a 2-star RB. I'm a run-first guy, and I wanted to get a big back and pound the ball. The previous comment is right about the way RB prospects are handled in this game - it's kind of a joke. He came in rated a 57, despite being 232 lbs. w/ 88 speed and secondary attributes that rank consistent with the rest of the RBs on my roster. I don't care what his OVR rating is - with RBs the rating would matter more if I were simming rather then him being user-controlled on every play that he's used. I'm gonna use this guy to death and see where he takes me.

Position changes were also disappointing. I was hoping to be able to switch a TE to FB - in fact I recruited a TE expressly for that purpose since all the FB prospects available to me sucked (who wants a 195 lb. FB?!) All the blocking stats were there for this TE when I recruited him, he was something like 6'2", 240 lbs. Seemed perfect for a switch to me. I prefer more height out of my TEs anyway. I went to do a position change, and they had him as a 40 OVR at FB. :2004:

I tried to do some similar things with my front seven. I run a 3-4, and wanted to see if I could switch some guys between OLB and DE. I start going through my OLBs and a I had one in particular - 6'3" 252 and decent stats that I would've like to switch to DE. No dice. Meanwhile, my 6'0" 210 lb. OLBs all somehow projected as better DEs than they did LBs! I didn't switch any of those guys since players that size are unrealistic at DE (especially in a 3-4).

I'm going to need a much better class this coming season, or my team is going to start going down the tubes.

They're both in the 60s. Can you believe that? Both are 4* recruits, the FS was the #10 FS and the TE was the #5 TE, yet they're in the 60s.

damn, that's some horseshit there. I landed 3 3* TEs (lost my main one last year and my other one is a senior this year) and they are rated 68, 68, 67. (made one of the 68s a FB). When I saw the attributes for the #5 TE I thought he'd easily be mid 70s. The athlete I recruited for FS made a better CB so I switched my of my old CBs (whom I had playing LB last year) to FS and he rose a point.

The best thing that happened to me during position changes is that I had a RS sophomore MLB that was buried on the depth chart with a 73 overall rating. I saw he had some great ball carrying skills so I switched him to HB and he rose to an 81.

The thing about the recruiting now is that there are very few impact players who are freshmen.... even at 5*s. I have noticed that a lot of JUCOs can come in pretty highly rated even if they are rated low by the computer. If you are thin at a position scour the JUCO ranks, I've heard of some of them coming in at the 80s. The #94 CB came in at 76 and I redshirted him. He'll be low 80s next year and mid to high 80s in two years.

You really have to plan on any frosh recruits you have now to make an impact their junior or senior year.

You know how you're supposed to hear a SportsCenter update every now and then when you're messing around in the menus? Yeah, I'm hearing some dude coughing and asking his kid if he wants a cookie. Someone screwed up.
