NCAA2011 (PS3) 3rd Annual BP Online Dynasty

I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't secure the rushing title after my top RB got hurt several weeks back. He was cruising - had a cushion of around 400 yards on the next closest RB and was well on his way to 2000 yards for the season.

I thought I was going to get him back for the bowl game. During the week of the ACC Championship Game the injury report said he'd be out another three weeks. I was thinking, there's three weeks on the calendar between the championship and the bowl... no. You'd think that software as sophisticated as this game would either be able to incorporate a realistic calendar or at least tell me if the number of weeks left on his injury is greater than the number of weeks the CPU considers to be left in the season by calling him OUT FOR SEASON or something like that.

Regardless of being without my best offensive player, Truck Driver U. got steamrolled. I figured this game would have programmed in some kind of superhuman abilities for Kellen Moore, and that he'd pick apart my weak secondary. He ended up being rather pedestrian against a 3-deep zone, with a token 3-man rush. The RBs that were available to me were more than serviceable - I think both of them went for over 140 yards each. The box score said I had 25 passing attempts, but I don't believe it. I don't remember calling a single pass play in the second half - I just went smashmouth all the way. Boise got a bullshit pick-six on my first drive, and didn't do a thing on offense until garbage time.

I'm eager to see if this season will move the needle with respect to any of my school's ratings. Maryland was 2-stars when I took them over, with most of their categories being in C+/B- territory. Hopefully I can get in on some 4-star guys in the offseason or soon after.
