Couldn't get online last night to advance (nor this morning like I hoped)

So will try to advance to cuts (that's next, right?) as soon as I get home hopefully. If not then, when my boy goes to bed at 8pm.

Like I said... my brain is fried and remembering where we are is down on my list of things I am worried about. So you are right... we are on cuts about to move to the pre-season. It will get better next week... I hope.

Newly constructed homes just suck on the worry scale. Freaking city inspectors!!!

We advanced to the pre-season last night (10:30, I know... later than I said)

We will be in the pre-season for a bit. Will follow up with another post about that subject.

Ok, time to talk pre-season/scheduling. A little shake-up as Iron has left us and Basebuck has been AWOL due to life.

I do plan on shuffling some human games to keep them at two. For example Houston was planning on playing Cal & Ole Miss. So for those two teams, they will then play each other instead of Houston.

In addition I am checking in on Basebuck to see if he will be back anytime soon. If not, the games he would play will be swapped too, so Cal & Missouri would then play each other instead of playing South Florida.

Also in a slight twist, if Basebuck will miss this season, I will have Rutgers & Missouri play a 3rd human game since they won't have a human to play in-conference.

Now, if Basebuck can play, I would like to get Missouri a 3rd human game to make up for no human team in his conference. If anyone would like to volunteer to play Bluffton (this would then mean you would have 3 human non-conference games along with 4th human game within your conference). It is purely a volunteer thing and not required or mandatory. You can PM me if you are interested.

So, along those lines... if anyone has a request to play a certain CPU game in non-conference. Let me know via PM so I can try to put the schedule together sometime this weekend.

We should be advancing to Week 1 by Sunday night, worst case Monday morning pending any scheduling nightmares.

I do hope I can do it, this weekend I am in full moving mode with hopes to be living at my new house this weekend. The good news is internet is up and running in my house (gotta love fiber optics baby! 20+ mpbs!!!) and Direct TV is being set up this Saturday morning and that day I should be setting up my PS3 at the new house as I move my TV over there. So hopefully that goes smoothly and will be online at the new house come Saturday night.

jeez, im still getting not very much attention from recruits even after winning the national title

3 stars and low level 4 stars

and my defense is going to be awful this year

FYI, basebuck confirmed he will sit out this season but hopes he will be ready for Season 3.

So Rutgers & Missouri will play a 3rd human non-conference game against each other to make up for being the only active human player in their conference.

Sweet. I had 3 last year, plus a 4th in the conf championship game. The budding rivalry between Houston and Mizzou has died...sad :(

Sorry for not being around as much, my grad classes are on an 8 week schedule, so I'm finishing up A term now, and starting B term soon...busy as hell.

Anyway, I'll be around more :)

Is it just me or do all the RBs in this class suck ass?

I do have a 5 star RB interested (but not likely to land). Here are his measurables:

6'5" 231 lbs. - ok he's huge, that's a plus.

B- speed, suck.
D+ Agility, really suck
A Accel (ok, that's good).

So you think his RB skills have to be top notch.... No.

B+ Trucking
B+ Stiff Arm
B- Break tackle
Everything else is worse. D Elusiveness, D-Spin. No he can't catch either.

The only thing this dude could do is run up the middle for 4 yards. Is he really worthy of the #9 overall spot?

I'm honestly having a hard time finding any RBs with decent speed. The ones that do have a C range accel.

Hey, Olaf and I have a 4 star RB interested in us (he's #1 on his list, I'm 2).

#206 player overall:
"Speed" Runningback:
5'11" 213 lbs
B speed
B+ agil
B- accel
the only rushing skill rated above a C+ is juke, which is B.

Does he really constitute as a "speed" RB?

Oh it gets better.

I also have another 4 star interested. A "Power" RB, here's his stats:
#173 overall
5'10" 175 lbs ("POWER!")
B Speed
B- Agil
C+ Accel
C Break Tackle
D- Trucking
C- Stiff arm.

Okay is Tom Lemming doing this rankings? wtf in this guy's list makes him a power back?

So far I'm very underwhelmed with these recruits and I do have some "quality" stars looking at me, the measurables just don't add up to that.
