I dont agree. Sportsmanship is boring in video games. Heck, I dont have a problem with teams running up the score in real life and wish TOSU would do it more

I don't care about 56-14, or 48-3, but 97-3 is excessive.

I don't agree. There have been several times where I thought I was in a position to start and finish a game but something came up in the middle. I like that flexibility. Plus, I dont think anyone in this league will be in danger of losing to the CPU

I bet there are 2-3 restarts a year including bowl season that I bet are because of poor play or a loss.

They do, but not to take advantage of shitty defensive AI. It's a hole in the computer. Not realistic.



Crossing and drag routes are realistic in 3 and 4 wide sets. You will find very few 3 and 4 reciever sets that dont have a crossing route somewhere. I agree with the deep lob's. There has to be a line that shouldnt be crossed.

I added this because I don't want to play an offense based on the unfair advantage of LB's that can't cover any WR or any RB with a 90+speed. Not that I've played anyone who's done that. Just wanted to throw it out there.

It happens.

Having a QB with 11-12 TD passes or a RB with 800 yards in a game should just not be happening. Good sportsmanship is a major part of college football, even when playing the CPU.. we shouldn't be seeing multiple 70-80-90 pt scoring games.

I can't agree with this. Good sportsmanship is nice and all, but I'm not going to call ISO plays all day long to keep from hurting the CPU's feelings.

And to clarify 4th down calls
Whenever you are past the 50 yard line with 1 yard or less to go, you are permitted to for it on 4th down.
If you are behind by two touchdowns or more in the second half, you can go for it whenever you like.
If you are the losing team in the 4th quarter, you can go for it whenever you like.

This is pretty much what people do. Hell, I usually get a PM from my opponent when he's going for it so that I don't call for a punt return by mistake.

There will be NO restarts on your user vs. cpu games. If there is a restart, discuss it if there was an extenuating circumstance, but most likely any restart = automatic simulation of your game. The 2nd time.. = a simulation loss. There is no shame to losing to the CPU..we're all pretty good here and Piney uses difficult sliders targeted towards realistic challenge levels based on the caliber team the CPU is controlling? ie: CPU Ohio State will be a bitch? CPU Iowa St won?t?

Restarts happen. They've happened to me. Sometimes things come up. Sometimes disconnect happen.

Manually motioning your WR's before the snap should be kept to a realistic minimum. There are plenty of plays with green routes and defined motion in them that you can utilize.

In real football, someone's in motion almost every play just so the QB gets an idea on what the defense is doing. No one really does it here. Fanatic uses it a lot, but he usually uses it on run plays. I rarely use it because I usually take too long finding the play I want and have no time.

Constant crossing routes and drag routes are not to be 80% of your passing gameplan, neither are deep LOB bombes... lets keep the passing game realistic and challenging for both offense and defense.

What next, do you want everybody to stop using curl routes against man coverage? These routes aren't cheese at all. How many times did you see Teddy Ginn streaking down the sideline? There was a reason for that. It works.

I can't really get behind any of these rules. The fourth down stuff is good, but it's not a problem in the BP dynasties.

Not like we are rushing, we most likely will get to your bowl game either tonight or Saturday night, and your game is a human game. Here is the schedule:

Bowl Week 1 - Whobe is only one with game

Bowl Week 2 - Me

Bowl Week 3 - Everyone else but Whobe, me & Iron. I wish I grabbed my piece of paper, but there are two human matchups. BN v Boxcar & basebuck v fanatic

The Bowl Week 4 is Iron losing to Ohio State for the National Championship :wink2:

Just wanted to mention this one last time. Until we know how the game plays, we don't know what will be considered unsportsmanlike. We all agree on the 4th down item, but the rest is all gameplay issues. And if those gameplay issues are fixed, then why worry about it?

And Boxcar... 90-7 is much better than it use to be. We actually had scores like 140-7 and such with RBs getting 400 yards on 7-8 carries. Those are the guys that spoiled everything and forced us to go to Heisman sliders. And if we see scores like that again, that just means I try to find tougher and tougher sliders.

I actually simmed a loss in the CCG to see if I could get into a BCS game vs. a human opponent, but I would have been stuck in the Rose Bowl vs. UCLA, so I went ahead and beat LSU. I'll definitely beat Ohio State, because they're only a B+ team. LSU was a better team, IMO.

Having fanatic and Basebuck play each other is advantageous to me. If Basebuck beats fanatic, then I can feel good about my National Championship due to beating Basebuck earlier this season. If fanatic wins, then we'll just have to set up our bizarro NCG to see who really should have won the Title. :tongue2:

Looks about right. A shame that Army didn't go to the Rose Bowl. They get the Capital One Bowl instead.

Actually Ohio State had a slew of All-Americans. Seems like their OLine & Defensive front 7 are just crazy good.

Still, just wouldn't seem right if you beat them. So ya gotta lose to prove your Ohio State fandom :biggrin:

Damn... But yeah, since tonight is Friday I will get my game in tonight. Don't know when I will play, depends on what the woman has in store for me. But we should advance (to Bowl Week 3) by midnight.

Two of my user games this year had not beneficial to my team speed wise sliders and two others my RB and best and really only offensive player was hurt. Not saying I'm going to win against BN27, he's still got the better team by far but I have no injuries now and want another crack at a human opponent.

Really want another game against Kentucky too. :biggrin:
