NCAA09 PS3 BP Online Dynasty

For me it hasn't affected me since in this dynasty I am in the CUSA and the only human in my division. So my extra wins didn't affect standings.

Iron might know better since I think this happened when he commished the MAC dynasty. But not sure how it affected it.

The one way to test is to convert the dynasty offline and sim to the end of the season to see if it affects the tie breakers. But then again I don't know if the phantom wins carry back to offline.
I had an extra win in season 1, but I went undefeated until the CCG, and no one else in my division had fewer than 2 losses.

Thanks. We're actually in week 7 or so (that hypo was just the estimated win totals).

Of course FSU could keep being awesome and make it a moot point.
Well that's a little different. The fastest way to find out for sure would be to save an second file offline, and sim or play games with those two teams, until you get the results that you want.

That seems pretty time consuming, especially if you don't expect a sim to allow both teams to win out, but it's the only way that you'll know for sure.

So I guess it is time to re-open the slider discussion. Is anyone (other than BN) really disgusted by these sliders? Not having fun because the sliders are too hard? Or really while the cpu cheats to keep games close (or scare you by taking an early lead) does that help you enjoy the games better versus a mindless blowout like the previous years?

If we had more human games like Iron's dynasty I would probable not have heisman sliders. But since most of our games are against the cpu, we need something to keep it from becoming a game of running up stats.

Or, do I just need to tweak them a bit. Cuz like Iron & Basebuck have said, their team speed is so great that these sliders aren't 'different' since they can still just outrun the defense. So just try to ease them back a bit (don't know how that will change the heisman cpu cheating)

Or just leave them be.

id like to go back to where it was as well

it makes the game no fun when the computer completes every pass, breaks every tackle, and when the computer DBs have unreal closing speed on passes

then on the other hand you can break few tackles and your WRs drop passes like crazy even when they are pretty open and your QB makes terrible eratic throws even when you have set up completely

id rather blow out the computer most of the time than have the sliders jacked up to give the computer a edge

commissioners, I've got a question about the 'extra wins' glitch. I picked up two phantom wins already (ie 5-0 after 3 wins). If I finish 9-1 in conference play & my division opponent beats me to finish 7-0, will he go to the CCG? Or will I go thanks to extra wins?

And on top of that... you can't read.

But everyone knew you were retarded already

edit: what exploit did I use?

You throw across the field on a post pattern and let your WR run under it

IronBuckI;1436891; said:
I can't speak for Basebuck, but my speed guys are at runningback, and the 45 RB ability means that I'm not outrunning anybody. Both of my 99 speed RBs routinely get run down from behind by LBs and occasionally by d-lineman. Where the speed RB comes in handy with these sliders is running up the middle. I can run a dive, offtackle, or counter play and hit the hole before my lineman get completely blown up. I'm not beating the defense to the edge anymore, at least not in SEC play.

I'm still outrunning people. The only difference is that I cannot do it time after time. I'm running up the middle twice as much as I used to.

I really don't use exploits, unless motion or unbalanced formations are actually considered exploits. So I don't know what kind of sliders can be put into place to stop them.

I would consider them exploits and I use them as well. Well, those and the ability to throw deep on 3rd and long instead of punting.. It's rediculous how the AI cannot adjust to formations.

I don't know if anything can stop the "heisman cheat" problem.

I'm having the same issues. Iowa St. threw for over 500 yards against me the other day. I could do NOTHING to stop them. Every play they picked found the hole in my coverage. I can see how people without a big time O could get frustrated losing like that. Hell, I get frustrated by that shit in the other dynasty

I don't like the CPU assist on any game. Not really bothered by these. My team isn't fast either. Took me a restart on that first Clemson game to learn how to play against them but you adjust your game. All the tackle breaking by the computer is offset by the fact that if they do break free they typically will run into a tackler or out of bounds.

The scary part... I don't see this stuff that everyone else sees. Even when we used those sliders in Iron's dynasty this past season. The only thing that really happened was USC cheating to get a ton of fumbles to keep me from blowing them out. Heck, I even stopped Tebow cold.

I don't see robo QBs against me nor a ton of broken tackles. I might get 2 or 3 a game against me, but it isn't every running play.

I must have cracked the defensive code of this game (cuz I see the cpu throw deep on me and I get pressure & sacks which everyone says doesn't happen) I also pass a ton in this game (I am SMU afterall) and while I see some bad throws now and then, the passing part of the game seems right to me. Cuz if I tweak them in more favor of passing I will go from a 55-60% completion to the upper 80%s

But I am thinking of tweaking the sliders this week just to see if it gets better (lower cpu RBA & lower cpu Break Tackle and up tackle, slightly, ie 5pts) Then we can re-visit this right before the bowl games.

The type of D you run works good against the computer.

Just confirmed by simming, it is win %. His 7-0 trumped my 8-1 record or something close to that.

Hey JWin, what settings/sliders do you guys use in your dynasty?
not sure, but we blow out the cpu. User games are fairly reasonable, however.

While the style is the same, I use different plays against humans than I use versus the cpu. I play virtually no zone defense against the cpu as it is 80% man defense and never blitz. Whereas against humans I mix coverages and blitz more often.
