I'm done with this league if the sliders aren't changed. I don't use queer exploits....so losing by 20 to Rutgers because it's impossible to tackle or catch their RBs is total fucking bullshit.
I'm surprised that you're still in either league, considering that no player has avoided the wrath of 'Nation. No one has ever played a straight game, in your eyes, and you can't beat the cpu either. You must be some sort of fucking masochist to put up with all of us dirtbags like that.

BN27 -- why dont you just recruit for your teams and sim all your games? This would save you the frustration of playing games.

I also want to clarify Im not being a dick by saying this, its just a thought.

I would be interested in a recruit and sim only league.

I usually use queer exploits to get up 14 then I play straight up. I'm to the point now where I play my stars for the 1st quarter then sit them. I've found that it makes me a better player not to have them in the game. It really mixes up my playbook.

Seriously though BN, you know the exploits, why not use them if you fall behind?

So I guess it is time to re-open the slider discussion. Is anyone (other than BN) really disgusted by these sliders? Not having fun because the sliders are too hard? Or really while the cpu cheats to keep games close (or scare you by taking an early lead) does that help you enjoy the games better versus a mindless blowout like the previous years?

If we had more human games like Iron's dynasty I would probable not have heisman sliders. But since most of our games are against the cpu, we need something to keep it from becoming a game of running up stats.

Or, do I just need to tweak them a bit. Cuz like Iron & Basebuck have said, their team speed is so great that these sliders aren't 'different' since they can still just outrun the defense. So just try to ease them back a bit (don't know how that will change the heisman cpu cheating)

Or just leave them be.

I don't. I don't know them enough to rack up the arcade stats that some people do. I also don't get the point of that.

I think we are starting to run into quite a few people not having any fun with these sliders. It's funny how we have lost balance among teams so quickly.

Personally I'm not too worried about it one way or another. Over half of my games are against human opponents so I'm really not worried about it.

It does get boring but I use everything after the first quarter to practice new plays to feature new players. You did use some of the exploits when you played me.

The biggest exploit in this game IMO is running to the outside with a HB with +90 speed.

I can't speak for Basebuck, but my speed guys are at runningback, and the 45 RB ability means that I'm not outrunning anybody. Both of my 99 speed RBs routinely get run down from behind by LBs and occasionally by d-lineman. Where the speed RB comes in handy with these sliders is running up the middle. I can run a dive, offtackle, or counter play and hit the hole before my lineman get completely blown up. I'm not beating the defense to the edge anymore, at least not in SEC play.

I really don't use exploits, unless motion or unbalanced formations are actually considered exploits. So I don't know what kind of sliders can be put into place to stop them.

I don't know if anything can stop the "heisman cheat" problem. I had three fumbles on my first drive last night, but was lucky enough to recover all of them. There was a lot of heisman funny business going on in my game last night, but for some reason the cpu controlled QB that was able to completely dissect any zone, man, or man-zone coverage that I threw at him, was negated by double digit drops by his receivers, and three timely interceptions (1 pick 6).

commissioners, I've got a question about the 'extra wins' glitch. I picked up two phantom wins already (ie 5-0 after 3 wins). If I finish 9-1 in conference play & my division opponent beats me to finish 7-0, will he go to the CCG? Or will I go thanks to extra wins?

A few seasons back, I went to the CCG with a 9-1 record after losing to 7-1 division rival Clemson, however the difference there was their 1 loss to Miami in conference play (not in our division).

We're trying to decide if we need to scrap the season and start over. Clemson does not play Miami this year, so they should be able to meet the first hypothetical (going undefeated with 2 less wins).

For me it hasn't affected me since in this dynasty I am in the CUSA and the only human in my division. So my extra wins didn't affect standings.

Iron might know better since I think this happened when he commished the MAC dynasty. But not sure how it affected it.

The one way to test is to convert the dynasty offline and sim to the end of the season to see if it affects the tie breakers. But then again I don't know if the phantom wins carry back to offline.

I believe that it's win %, so the 7-0 team would go to the CCG.

Either way, it looks like you're only a week or two from the end of the season anyway. I wouldn't want to lose all that progress until you know for sure.
