I received a hard commit from a 4* (4th rated) QB and a 4* T. I got a soft verbal from the #1 player in the country which is a DT. I'm trying like hell to land a Punter who runs a 4.22 and I'll fake punt the hell out of whoever I'm playing, lol. Too bad I'm not in his top 10 yet. But as many 5* RB's aTm has landed these last few seasons, he should just leave Downs the hell alone and let me continue to lead for his services. I just paid the mortgage on his mom's house for a whole year, he better bring his ass to M

I'm pretty sure you've got Downs locked up. He had an A+ visit with me and you still lead by a lot. I'm going hard after the 2nd and 3rd ranked RB's.
I'm getting a little concerned with my recruiting title

As you should be. The money we've received from the BCS, we're dishing it out to recruits.

Not that concerned though. I still lead for about 11 5*'s. :biggrin2:

That's kind of my dilema. Part of me would love to switch teams and get away from the Big 12 so I can play 2 or 3 new people each year.

Same here. I thought about switching to UTEP. I have an offline dynasty with them, they recruit well since they're in Texas, and plus they have some nice jersey's. But I'd own the C-USA and that wouldn't bode well for ECU and SMU, lol

The bad thing is that once you get the speed on your team the CPU doesnt have a chance.

Paging the commish...... Hello... Hello...

I take one night off to spend with the wife to restore some brownie points up so I can use them when we start daily advances in the MAC league... and you guys get done in one night.

Luckily I am taking a half day off work today since I have a slight window problem and have a repair guy coming out between 12-4 (gotta love that)

So, I can get my stuff done in the afternoon and then we can advance.

Ok, time to catch up on what has been said regarding switching teams...

I won't throw any fits if people want to change teams. Outside of maybe having a max of teams per conference? I am not really that concerned about that either, but we do have the other league where we're all in the same conference.

Most likely I would cap certain conferences. Big 12 would be off limits unless one of those teams bolt. MWest & CUSA would be hard to add a team also since they have 2 teams in each. Overall I think 2 would be a nice cap (maybe 3 for conferences with divisions)

At the start we weren't sure how everyone would like to play alot of human games thinking it might slow things down. That hasn't been the case. So as long as everyone is ok with it we can get back to EVERYONE playing 2 human non-conference games. While that means in certain years the teams in the Big 12 could play 4-5 human games a year.

Beware about thinking you would recruit well in Texas. Freaking A&M owns every recruit in Texas and the only way TCU or SMU gets a Texas recruit is if A&M doesn't want him.

But then again... recruiting would be WAY too much fun with 4 human teams fighting for any Texas recruit worth recruiting.

Not to mention maybe I can finally beat you since UTEP sucks now :wink2:

Recruiting went well this week. I didn't get any hard commits but I did get 3 more 5* verbals :banger: and am have a big lead on about 5 more. Piney, good luck with the #1 athlete.

So does this mean you have stopped recruiting him and you are giving me the green light to get him??? I would appreciate that greatly since if he goes to A&M he would be a 2nd stringer barely making the special teams versus coming to SMU and being an impact all-conference performer as soon as he sets foot on campus.

Plus I am sure I can line him up with a nice job at the car dealership where he can have 3-4 secretaries servicing every whim and job he wants performed :pimp: We have some very talented girls here in Dallas.

I have no intention to switch teams, if we go to heisman, but I do have a question. Are we going to stick with the 79 OVR team rating? Maybe raise it a couple of points to 85 OVR? That way the guys that started out with lower teams thinking that they could build them against All-American opponents will be on the same playing field as the guys that took teams closer to the 79 OVR limit. The only reason I ask this is because, once again, I am being selfish. I would like for one of the possible "transfers" to move the the SEC West, and think that opening it up to an 85 OVR would allow them to move to a few more teams.

Possible... But the first thing that has to be done is determine if we are going Heisman :wink2: I keep reading that Varsity gives a good game and kinda cancels out some of the speed advantages. But my goal is over this week and the weekend to hunt down people's slider sets for Varsity and Heisman and try both of them out. Then post the 2 sets and then let you guys try them out for a spin.

Also what I will do since we are talking about the possibily of switching teams, I am going to check out the current team ratings for everyone to see what they are. Could some of the SEC teams dropped below 80? Once we get an idea of what teams would or would not be eligible then we can decide on whether to raise that bar or not (or do something like if your current team is rated above 79, you can switch to a team the is equal to your current team rating)

I think that Vandy and the Mississippi schools are still under 80, but don't know for sure.

As for going to Varisty instead of Heisman. I'm all for any change that will make it more realistic without making it ridiculous. Massive amounts of dropped balls and wildly erratic passes for humans and miraculous acrobatics and ungodly awareness for the CPU teams doesn't sound appealling to me. So if the Varsity sliders offer what we're looking for, then I'm good with that. I'd probably implement them into the MAC Dynasty too. No way In hell should a Central Michigan team with tons of Freshman starters be able to beat Oklahoma 73-13 in the Fiesta Bowl. No matter how awesome I am.
