NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

I just saw butchel put up 100 points on hawaii.....man he must be good.

I played my first game with these sliders and the computer is fast. They close quickly and just burn you if they are out in the open.

Also what the [censored] is up with my schedule. I have to have the toughest one. It [censored]ing sucks for recruiting too, I only have 1 home game during weeks 5-11 and its against piney.

5 home games and 7 fucking away games....

Post #2 has you at 6 home and 6 away. You should have a home game against Cincinnati the week before you play Oregon. If not, then that's my fuck up from when I removed your late game vs. Utah, and replaced it with a mid-season vs. Cincy.

Nah, I'm a pretty average player. I just played the whole game in Quarters defense. I knew Hawaii was going to pass every down, and I ended up picking him off like 14 times.

You fucked up my schedule too. That Florida game is at the swamp instead at my place.

But I know it is not your fault. The cpu likes switching those when you customize the schedule, sometimes you have to change it 2-3 times for it to stick.

WTF is that? I know that I went back and changed yours to a home game. I specifically went through to make sure that everyone only had one OOC on the road. And especially that the Pac 10 guys only had one, because they only have three OOCs anyway. :smash:

Iron you screwed up the league some more, again. Somehow you managed to kick me and piney out of our game with 20 seconds to go!? I was up 21-10 (14-10 not including junk TD by me while attempting to run out the clock) and we got booted. Way to screw things up Iron.

But seriously, what do we do?

This is definitely the last time I move the sliders. I liked the way the CPU running game went.

I liked that every time I thought that I had the corner, they would break a half ass block that would have sprung me before, and they made the tackle.

I won at Alabama 23-7. I killed them with T.O.P. 18:05 to 5:55. Ringer had 25 carries for 82 yards and 6 receptions for 97 yards. Jimmerson had 10 rushes for 48 yards. Hoyer went 20-27 for 295 and 1 TD, but also had two early picks. The first pick led to Alabama going for it on 4th and inches inside MSUs 15 yardline and I stuffed them. His second pick, on the very next drive, led to Alabama missing a long FG wide right. That's when I just started pounding them. I didn't even care about getting the big play anymore...just wanted to keep grinding. Ringer took some big hits, and I had to start subbing in Jimmerson more and more as the game went along. Neither back was getting up very quickly, but in the end, Sparty triumphed in their first road test.

My kicker is a badass. He's only a 69 OVR, but he's 6'6" 212 lbs with 93 KPW, and he's had 7 touchbacks on 14 kickoffs.

You better pray to the almighty that Jimmerson doesn't leave early like he did with me in Piney's league. Caulton Ray is less than capable at doing anything a RB should do. Either that, or you should make sure you land a nice recruit.

I'll be able to talk him out of it, where you didn't have that luxury. I don't think that he's going to clear 50 yards/game either...unless Ringer gets hurt.

And another freaking great game with you Fanatic. But you know I should have won, that last INT was major bullshit. The guy was open and for some stupid reason my QB threw it 5 yards behind him to your guy trailing my WR. :smash:

I'll grant you the INT if you grant me the oopsie-daisy move by your QB on 4th&7, then fumbled to your linemen with two of my guys thumb wrestling over the ball. :slappy:

It was a really fun game. Much different than our other games, still close but a whole lot less points. I cant believe you stuffed me on 4th and gl from the one. I am not confident at all with my offense yet; I just cant seem to find my niche with them yet. No gamebreakers anywhere and good but not great speed anywhere.

As for moving forward, the easiest thing would be play computer with the understanding that I keep it close. But I'll leave it up to the group what they think.

That is just the skillz of my QB shining through

Yeah, defense was the key for both of us. I was able to stop your offense when you started the game, then you switched up styles and it took me til almost the 4th quarter to figure out how to stop it. And I tried EVERYTHING!

Then I have no clue what I did offensively after I jumped out into the lead early. You figured out something cuz I think I was in a funk offensively the rest of the game.

And I am with ya, still trying to figure out my players and stuff. But I do love my TE! Dickson rocks! Also finally decided on a playbook that I like, but still need to work with it to know the ins and outs of it.

And sadly I agree... probable the best thing is for you to play the CPU and just 'keep it close' And close will be 14-21 points to make sure the cpu doesn't do anything funky and make a late comeback to win.

Future reference:

Whenever a disconnect occurs, especially that late in a game. The team that is winning should finish the game against the computer and submit the score. If the final score is protested, then I will wipe out the results and let the two players play it over.

In this instance:

Play it over tonight or have fanatic play it over against the CPU.
I won't be home to set Piney to autopilot until around 10:30 PM EST. If Piney can set an offline password and let fanatic know what it is. fanatic can play the game offline and submit the results. Piney, not that fanatic would sell your password for money or anything , but I would suggest changing the password once we advance. :tongue2:
