NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

Piney, I can explain. Your QB threw a pick 6 and then followed it on his next snap with possibly one of the dumbest plays I've ever seen, even on a video game. Oregon ran a screen and I got pressure; your QB scrambled in front of your RB by 1 yard and overthrew the RB who was behind him leading to a fumble and I took over on the 30 yard line. So it went from a contested 7 point game to a 21 pt game in a matter of minutes. I was up 27-6 at half. I got the ball back to start the second half and only ran the rest of the game. I ran with my FB 7 straight times from within the 25 to kick a FG to start the 2nd half (30-6) assuming Oregon would score again and the score would be in the 20 pt range.

But to my surprise the score would not change again. I ended up winning the TOP 16:xx to 7:xx. So I really tried to keep the score 20 or less

No problem... you would assume that they would be able to score a freaking TD. Stupid heisman cpu  But I checked this morning, my biggest fear was an injury to one of my guys more than anything.

But really... they only attempted 3 runs with Johnson??? Or were they all those crappy QB options where the QB always keeps the ball?

I will have my revenge! I will just have to run the table and meet you in the Rose Bowl or championship game.

Option out of the shotgun. Oregon only had two maybe three sustained drives though too.
Such a ridiculous waste of a perfectly good down. I wish the computer actually had some kind of intelligence on how to run an option play. Like, don't run the read option with Matthew Stafford or Todd Boeckman, just because it's in your playbook. Don't run directly into the defensive lineman that you left unblocked. You know. Stuff like that. Is that so hard?

ugh. I used to let the computer play games like OSU vs Michigan or Penn State while I would pay bills or something......and that just pissed me off. Why is Boeckman running the option with Beanie. Would anybody ever think that's a good idea?

It will be interesting to see how that works out. If you do run the table (obviously not a given) then would a one loss Oregon make it to the title game if Oklahoma or another BCS team goes undefeated? Also, even though I have the easiest of the human vs. human matchups, it's only because all three of my games are at home. I honestly don't think that any Big Ten team is going to make it out of conference play undefeated. That would set up a traditional Rose Bowl game, but who would it be out of the two or three 1 or 2 loss Big Ten teams?

I just wish the video game would do what the Rose Bowl does in trying to secure a Pac 10 Big 10 Rose Bowl, if at all possible.

Yes... the civil war should be a fun game

It will also be interesting cuz I have never played smooth or basebuck. But I am sure the best way to beat basebuck now is to run up the middle every play and wait til 1-2 seconds are left on the playclock to run the play :p

Well, if the Big 10 is the potential bloodbath with the champ having 1-2 losses and as long as I win the Pac10, then we should meet in the Rose Bowl. (ie Pac 10 v Big 10 champs)

And didn't you schedule someone to beat Oklahoma? Oh, wait... did basebuck fuck things up again by losing to them (ie like USC?)

You'd probably play Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. :p

I did schedule someone to beat Oklahoma, but I fucked that up too. :(

So back to my topic of me not having fun.....if Penn State ever dips under whatever number we're staying under, I'll take them. That way, I can lose and still have fun. Lots of fun.
nah, I was going to give you Michigan. Almost the same effect from losing, but you get to wear those neato helmets, and also get the opportunity to beat Penn State every year.
