NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

damn... just when I've turned Ohio into a recruiting machine. You guys are just keeping me down

But I will go with the flow. Bastards...

Random draw is ok with me, prefer a draft or the ability to swap at least

Ability to swap sounds like a reasonable idea too. You're the spreadsheet guru. Is there any way to do a "shuffle" of school names and coach names in order to get teams matched up? Or would it just be infinitely easier to actually draw from a hat?

How would we determine a draft order?

Let's be honest, Bowling Green's recruiting was fucked from the get-go.. :tongue2:

I would like to be considered for re-enstatement to The League.

Bye the way, your rushing records in the other dynasty are being shattered. Don't you need to go play army or something?

Ability to swap seems critical. Should we allow for selection of leagues or should that be a virtual hat draw as well?

I get my first 5* recruit and this happens.

Anyway, we're already in a league that started with low-ranked teams. No need to do that again. I don't mind changing, except I think we might as well choose which team we want. Why limit ourselves? Keep it open.

Edit the names in. Then hit select all the way through.

I disagree. It's more fun building an average team into a great team. I don't want to start with a team ranked in the 90's and beat every team by 100 the first season.

We're already doing that in Piney's league. Besides, if you can choose whatever team you want, you can go ahead and choose a lower-tier team. It is fun, but I'll reserve judgment on how much I like it once I see if all my recruits end up transferring.

It has less to do with starting out low than it has to do with keeping team ratings as close to each other as possible. The original teams in the MAC didn't have any more than 10 points difference between the highest rated and lowest rated. Since we're still going to be playing each other around four to five times a season, then it would be nice if we all started out on a semi-even field.

I'm cool with it either way.

After thinking about it, it might make more sense to eliminate the teams with 5* prestige rankings. The recruiting advantages will put those teams on a different level. Just guessing but it would seem SCum, tOSU, USC, and maybe PSU would fall in this category?

For example, if someone gets SCum they have built in advantages that will be hard for the person who has Inidiana to overcome.

Cal is also a 5* program, but Wisconsin is not.

OK, I'm still waiting for input from 'bubba, 'mania, and BN27, but want to get a rough draft out there.

It looks like Bleed S&G is back in the mix too. 10 teams in a 13 team league is rough. 11 teams in a 12 team ACC would seem to rule that idea out all together.

Pac-10 and Big Ten league. I will not assign teams. I think that Olaf and Piney wanting to choose teams is the way to go, so I will use the program that fanatic linked to choose a random draft order. There will be six Big Ten teams and five Pac Ten teams. All teams in both conferences will be available except for 5* programs USC, Cal, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State.

Once the limit for a conference has been reached. That conference will be removed from the draft.

Team/Conference affiliation trading will be allowed. We'll figure out those scenarios if/when we run into them.
