That's why I scheduled you to play Indiana. They're a ranked team that you're competing against for recruits. If you want to go against Purdue too, then I'll see what I can do. If you don't care, then I'll just see if I can find a suitable foe. Are you heavy on any recruits from states like Texas, or Florida. If so, then I'll see if I can't schedule someone from those states.

:smash:

Completely missed that I was already playing Indiana. If you can add someone else that's great but I'm good with the way it is. Don't spend too much time looking.

And you can go over all that researching recruits in Week 1 while everyone else is playing their games :wink2: That is what I plan on doing.
That may be what I end up doing. Everyone would have to be marked as 'Ready' before 7:30 PM EST though. I have plans (*gasp* a life?) tonight, and won't be doing anything involving a PS3 after 7:30. NIU and BG are the only ones that currently have games in week one, so we should be able to move through that week pretty quickly. I'd like to get to week 1 pretty soon anyway, so I can get the preseason rankings posted, and also know for sure what each teams ratings are.

I advanced to week 1 offline once already so I could see who would be good matchups to schedule. BGSU and CMU were the two highest rated and ranked (barely out of the top 25) teams in the MAC. Both are C+ with C+ offense and defense. BG had B- special teams and CMU had C+ special teams. Everyone else was a C or C- OVR. Ohio, NIU and Temple were the C's (I think) and everyone else was a C-. BGSU also had the highest overall rated team last year, with a 77 overall rating.

I think that the team ratings take an average of the players on your depth chart, and don't take redshirt players into account. So me only having 60 players on my team actually helps my overall rating, and everyone else having at or close to 70 (many of the backups rated in the 60's or lower) may actually hurt their overall ratings.

You are playing UCF instead of Troy. UCF is rated as a B- overall vs. the C- that Troy is rated. Hopefully they'll be able to make a decent run in Conf USA to give you some SOS help.

I just got the #3 OLB, 5* Michael Bullocks, to commit on the spot. Yeah, he's a JUCO, but still. I wasn't expecting that.
Fuck. I figured that I had a little bit of a shot at the guy. :( At least I only spent 35 minutes on him for the season. Time to focus on somebody else.

What's fucked up is that it won't show me that he committed to you until we advance to week 2. It looks like I was 9th on his list and you started out as #1. However, his interest in ANY program didn't even fill up 25% of the interest meter. You must have had one impressive pitch for him to commit on the spot. :wink2:

Obviously my memory is dyslexic, and I was the one with B- special teams. Although your question should still stand. My kicker is a senior punter that I converted to kicker...made him go from a 70 OVR punter to a 69 OVR kicker. My punter is a freshman that is 54 OVR. The special teams ratings have to include returners and long snappers. LS is @ 75 OVR. My returners are 99 and 93 OVR.

He started off with me #1 on his list. I pitched my best three categories and his interests were Most, Very High, and Very High. I thought, "Well, damn. Kick ass." I offered, and he committed. My first 5* recruit in any league! Take that, you fucking Mormons!

Iron - I did check my recruiting attributes and it doesn't seem like they were heavily affected by going offline. For the most part my attributes kept going the way they were going or stayed the same. The only attribute that went down was TV Exposure and I have given up trying to figure how to affect that one.

IronBuckI;1388935; said:
That was the one that got me too. It went from Very Good, IIRC, in season one to Good in season 2 to Fair in season 3. I can definitely see why it would continue to drop each year since I've played all of my OOCs against traditional big boys, been in the CCG both years and won two BCS bowl games. All that should definitely make my TV exposure drop. :smash:

The one's that I was worried about most coach attributes and program stability. My program tradition, stability, and coach prestige all went up. I think that we can conclude that going offline doesn't adversely effect the things that we thought it might.
Alright. I did not recall correctly. CMU starts out with 'Good' TV exposure. They remained 'Good' in season 2 because we did not go offline. After doing more reading up on this stuff this weekend. Going offline does adversely effect TV Exposure. Apparently that is the only recruiting attribute that it effects. If we want to keep our players, then TV exposure will continue to free fall until we hit rock bottom. I don't know what happens after that. If we don't want to take the hit on TV Exposure, then we should just stay online.
