There are a ton of RBs that run 4.37 40s this year. That's in the 88/89 range for speed, and overall I think that this recruiting class is more realistically slow than past classes.Piney;1388860; said:That's cool, kinda figured Marshall had a conference game and wasn't movable. And thanks for not giving me Ohio State again.
Also, is it just me or does this recruiting class seem to suck? I had a hard time finding 35 guys that I would even be interested in. Seems like alot of the highly rated players are just slow. I mean I have 4 guys from the Top 100 that are interested in me. But they suck :( I mean really... would anyone start a FS that runs a 4.5? Or WRs for that matter? Heck, even the RBs seem slow this year.
Just a piss poor group of highly rated recruits coming in.
One funny thing... Remember how I said I would doubt that any CB would even be interested in Ohio? I mean afterall I have 11 CBs and only 2 that are seniors. I wasn't planning on recruiting any. But there they are... 2 Top CBs want to come to Ohio.
What can I say... I love hoarding CBs with blazing speed.
I will not be done with setting up my recruiting tonight. I still have to go over all of these guys attributes, and pick out who I want for my style and needs.Piney;1388864; said:FYI - My team says it is not done. But if I am the only one you are waiting on go ahead and advance. I did all my stuff, I just didn't set my team ready to advance as I wasn't happy with my recruiting board, but there is no harm if I change them up during Week 1 of the season versus during the preseason.

You have CBs, I have WRs. I have approximately one million 3, 4, and 5* WRs that are interested in playing on a run heavy, WR heavy CMU team. I'm going to have to play more spread this year just so I can justify the amount of WRs that want to come to CMU. Piney, you should probably switch to a 4-2-5 or 3-3-5 and put all of your CBs on your Corner and Safety depth charts. Nobody would try to run sideline to sideline on that D. You might have a problem with people running up the middle though. :tongue2:

I made the decision to go after more recruits that are interested in KSU this year as opposed to previous years of trying to go after recruits that I was not in their top 10, but this class looked pretty weak to me overall. I spent a ton of time looking last night and was just unimpressed.Piney;1388860; said:Also, is it just me or does this recruiting class seem to suck? Everyone would like to play Indiana twice each season, but I'm afraid that the game won't let me schedule you that way. Notre Dame is already playing NIU, and I try not to double schedule teams. I'll see if Purdue is any good. If not, or if they're not available then I'll try to figure something else out.Basebuck;1388904; said:I'd like to have another OOC game more difficult than Navy and Troy. I don't mind who but Indiana or Notre Dame would be nice

That was the one that got me too. It went from Very Good, IIRC, in season one to Good in season 2 to Fair in season 3. I can definitely see why it would continue to drop each year since I've played all of my OOCs against traditional big boys, been in the CCG both years and won two BCS bowl games. All that should definitely make my TV exposure drop.Piney;1388930; said:Iron - I did check my recruiting attributes and it doesn't seem like they were heavily affected by going offline. For the most part my attributes kept going the way they were going or stayed the same. The only attribute that went down was TV Exposure and I have given up trying to figure how to affect that one.
That's why I scheduled you to play Indiana. They're a ranked team that you're competing against for recruits. If you want to go against Purdue too, then I'll see what I can do. If you don't care, then I'll just see if I can find a suitable foe. Are you heavy on any recruits from states like Texas, or Florida. If so, then I'll see if I can't schedule someone from those states.Basebuck;1388929; said:Cool. I'd just like to play one of the Indiana schools that I'm competing against for recruits. Doesn't really matter.

The one's that I was worried about most coach attributes and program stability. My program tradition, stability, and coach prestige all went up. I think that we can conclude that going offline doesn't adversely effect the things that we thought it might.
