Geez, just knock me down a notch. Then I might just have to keep my 97 speed CB on defense then :wink2:
I actually still have a 99 spd (RS)Frosh CB, but he's my lowest rated guy and will likely only see the field if I play fanatic and he runs his hurry up against me. My safeties do have 94 and 97 spd though...so good luck getting behind my defense.

That is like my 97 speed guy, will probable be the 8th/9th best CB per ratings (and his coverage ratings suck too). I so wish the CB depth chart went more than 5 though.

I've always thought that the CB and WR depth charts were severely lacking. How the hell can they only go 5 deep on CBs and still have a Dime or Quarters defense available? How do teams run 4 or 5 WR sets all game long and only have 6 WRs available? Then, if your WRs are tired, they sub in CBs or vice versa? This is especially annoying during blowouts when I do mass subs and they automatically put my second string QB in at SS when my DBs get tired.

Of course I always put my 6th CB in as the 3rd FS or SS in order to still have CBs in when I do mass subs, but why make it that difficult? Why can't they make simple fixes like adding one or two more spots to the depth chart at WR and CB?

This recruiting class is all speed. Every skill player that committed to WMU is at least a 93 SPD. I pulled in a CB and a WR with 96 SPD. I got a new RB with 94 SPD. A shit load of other DB's with 93+ SPD, as well. Now hopefully I can defend the option. :smash:

I like the mass subs that leave RB's at center and WR at guard. And they perform pretty well. Pretty dumb.

I know this drives me crazy. As SMU in the other dynasty I only have 4 WR formations and a few 5 Wide sets. I can't stand the short depth charts here.

The key with mass subs for the OLine is to have enough OLinemen and spread them out on the depth chart. After I get my starters set I try to spread out the backups so when the mass subs hit I at least have OLineman playing instead of RB/WRs and such.

Holy hell, I have seven QB recruits. Heh...and even the scramblers can't change positions because they have no other skills. I guess I went overboard trying to take QB recruits from other teams.
Olaf,
I hate you, and everything you stand for.

I could have used McLaughlin for depth too. Now I only have two actual QBs, one converted CB and one converted WR playing QB. And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch about either playing at QB. When I moved them, I had planned on using the flexbone as my primary offense, and the WR convert only has 84 speed anyway. The CB convert has 91 speed and still may be useful for depth in my defensive backfield and as a backup QB. Now that I've made the MAC Championship game twice and won one MAC Championship, I might give the Option Run or Georgia Tech playbook another shot. I'm probably not going to make the title game this year anyway, so why not?

No I don't. That slackin' ass bastard only has 90 SPD...no idea what I was thinking.
