Man, didn't realize I was doing THAT good, cuz I have missed out on ALOT of guys I really was working on and a few guys were too lazy to cut their list down so they could in-home visit (that just pisses me off, I am #1 on your list and the only offer and you still won't let me have an in-home visit to seal the deal? bastards!)

But if I am that close to the Top 10, I know I can get there if the two guys that I have been working heavy on commit. I think I got lucky that the one RB shut buchtel out of an in-home visit. But I just have to pray his Week 5 visit to Oklahoma doesn't result in an offer or I might be toast :(

I stand by my decision to not clog up my depth chart with very many 2* players. At least I will if I can get back on track in recruiting next season.

In other news. I will be turning off injuries again this season...just kidding. My depth issues will not be integrated into the rules of this dynasty.

I know how you feel. I just hate clogging my depth chart with crappy 3* players :wink2:

That's still one thing that I love about this version of the game. You're more likely to get higher level players based on star ratings, but you also get guys that are better or worse than their star ratings. I had two 4* CBs come in as freshman last season, and I had to redshirt their 72 OVR rated asses. I had a bunch of 2 and 3 star guys that were rated just under or just higher than those two guys were.

Yeah, it is interesting about that. I have had quite a few cases of bringing in 2 guys that are significantly rated different and have the lower 'rated' player end up with a higher rating. Last year I brought in 2 TEs, one was the 495th rated player and the other was in the 800s. The 800 rated player actually rated the exact same as the 495th player. Throw in the fact that the 800 guy was faster and you know who I prefered :biggrin:

And yes, I actually try to track this sort of thing. I have a handy dandy spreadsheet where I cherry pick certain ratings and keep track of them. So I have a pretty good idea the ranges of letter values and also what seems to factor in their overall rating. For example Awareness is HUGE on the rating scale. In my Texas Tech dyansty I recruited 2 players that were basically the SAME player, the one difference was one was a A+ awareness and the other was a C+. The A+ guy was 5 pts higher in overall rating.

There are other factors that affect rating but it is different for every position.

Nah, I had all the guys I wanted, the last few weeks I was really just going after higher rated guys that didn't have offers. Promise them the world and see what happens, lol.
