Everyone also needs to remember that I did turn injuries back on, so don't fall in love too much with one player, especially a running QB. You might just get him broken.

Yeah, that was a bitch you turned them back on. But you had to or else someone (ie me) could have really took advantage of that. Cuz it would have affected recruiting.

Imagine... no injuries... so you now don't need depth. So you only need 1 stud at every position. Like a person like me having a 90 speed QB, I don't need to really recruit a QB for 1-2 years. You have a stud frosh RB? No need to bother wasting time recruiting crappy RBs. Recruiting would be cherry picking... only targeting 10-15 guys period and pouring all your time on each of those guys. Someone could have easily have taken advantage of that :wink2:

I had planned on not recruiting a QB since no need to have depth. But now... damn you... I have to recruit one or two since I have like 5 senior QBs.

Now back to option football... You like the Georgia Tech playbook? That is one thing I have to do is find a playbook I really like that can give me my option football along with the passing attack I want to supplement. Cuz in the human games I really fear the option attack can be neutralized. And I don't want to cheese by running my QB out of passing plays all the time.

I target no more than 20 guys in both dynasties anyway. I can usually get a couple of early commits and then go hunting again later in the season. Not having injuries turned on last season didn't affect my recruiting, because it was just an experiment. What it did do was affect how I played the guys that I did have in place, and I didn't like that. LeFevour ran a lot more than I would have run him, even with the decent senior backup that I had. I also didn't pull my starters when games got out of hand.

I like it for now, but you have to have a good runner at FB. I've only run it in practice games agaisnt Kansas and WVU. I beat the hell out of both teams with it, but they're B or B- rated teams that are being controlled by the CPU. I'm really interested to see how well it works against a human opponent. Especially against a human that's good against the run, like You, fanatic, and BN27 were against me last season. I threw all over the place against BN27, but couldn't run worth a [censored] vs. any of you guys. There are no shotgun formations except for Hail Mary. That's fine with me though, because I'm light on WR talent anyway. The Option Run playbook probably has better formations, but I'm committed to the flexbone, and I'm going to stick with it all season, no matter how painful.

You weren't able to run on BN? I ran all over him  (or at least when I wanted to)

But the threat of the pass against humans is key to be able to run. I couldn't pass last year as my WRs were shit. You loaded the box against me but my WRs couldn't make you pay.

But that will change this year, I am loving my 2 frosh WRs. The guy I stole from USC came in rated at 81 :yow1: and my other guy is starting as a 75 rated WR. Without changing my depth chart they were still the 2nd & 3rd best WR on my team. Oh yeah, both have 96 speed

My offense will be a pain to stop once I get the right playbook to utilize these guys.

I think that I've figured out your INT problem. You read a defense as well as Vince Young. I ran a base defense against you, but I rarely rushed more than four. I thought you were going to bust out the option at anytime, and wanted to keep everything in front of me. Lots of cover 2 and a few zone blitzes, but I probably only used the 46 defense a handfull of plays in that game, and don't think that I used the 1-5-5 nickel at all.

Well the problem was all of my option plays were from 4 wide or shotgun sets with the playbook I used against you. They are great if you came out in a nickel or dime defense, but like you said, you used a base defense. So when I ran an option play with 4WR sets and you came out in the 4-3 I had to audible out of them. So when I don't have a TE or FB and have to block your 7 guys with my 5 OLinemen... well... the math doesn't work out well

Thus the reason I have to find the proper playbook. Cuz the playbook I used is great against the CPU. You come out in a 4 WR set they are in the dime defense and can run on them all day long.

Plus it didn't help when the 4 WRs I had out there were slower than your LBs :( to force you to switch to a dime defense.

The injuries had me on a rollercoaster last night. Jarvis went out 3 different times. My AA CB went out twice and my QB once. Luckily they all came back. My game vs Clemson was a blowout. I controlled the entire game so I was half paying attention in the second half and they scored 21 points to make it look closer. Shame on me.

Northern was able to get by Georgia. Moreno is a beast though, they pretty much just give him the ball constantly. Final score was 28-17. Could of been a little better. I threw a pick in the endzone when I was on the 3 yard line...real bright.
