NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

It's funny when little programs like Oklahoma try to keep up with the big boys from the MAC. Oh, you're so impressive jumping out to that 7-0 lead on CMU. Well, fuck you Oklahoma!!! 48 rushing attempts later, and you're not so tough are you? How are Sam Bradford's broken ribs, bitches?! 21-7 shit kicking victory for CMU last night. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE FLEXBONE YOU BIG SOONER PUSSIES!!!

The preseason top 10 is in shambles thanks to the MAC....
The Big 12 is really hurting. Oklahoma is now 0-2 after having a preseason #5 ranking. Texas (preseason #20) is also 0-2 after their defensive struggle with BGSU this week. Mizzou (preseason #8) took a high hard one from Western Michigan too.

If everyone can go 4-0 or 3-1 in their OOCs, then the MAC will definitely be the toughest conference in CFB.

And the #1 team went down in flames last night as well. Was up 35-14 with 2 minutes left as I was kicking off... Just to rub it in to Iron I was shooting to shut them down and then score one more TD. Then, take a knee for a 2 Pt Conversion :wink2:

But Henton decided to do his best Pryor imitation on 4th and 16 as they run an option??? and Henton stiff arms and spins out of about 6 tackles to get the first down. They ended up scoring to make the score look closer than it really was.

Only problem was Garrett was lost for the game early in the 2nd quarter. So to get some edge speed against the tough Ohio State defense had to call on the true freshman QB Shedrick Fulton who ended up rushing for 90 yards, most of them on the back breaker in the 3rd quarter 40+ yard run on 3rd and long. Then executed a perfect option pitch to another true frosh after I wore down my 2nd string RB who shares carries with Garrett.

But really the star of the game was the winner of the battle of the brothers... Julian Posey grabbed 4 Ints for a new school record.

Now that the it is conference time and the big Kent State game... it will be a game time decision on whether true freshman Shedrick Fulton has stolen the job from Boo Jackson.

I think that leaves Basebuck as the only one left to play.

We will advance at 10 PM EST tonight, or ~6:30 AM EST tomorrow morning. It all depends on when Basebuck can get his game and recruiting in.

I got everything in last night at abouot 10:00. We are really flying through the weeks now. It's like we got our second wind or something. Sorry for holding things up last night

You didn't hold anything up. Wednesday is our normal night to advance. Assuming that Piney did his recruiting last night too. I'll advance when I get home from work. ~ 6PM EST.

I stayed up later than normal to finish up my recruiting. I was going to log off but forgot I had updated my recruiting board so if you looked at the upper corner it would have said you are waiting on nobody and only if you checked the individual screeen would you have noticed I didn't recruit.

So wanted to be on the safe side and wrap it up. And thankfully I did as I grabbed another commitment from the #305 player in the nation. Gotta love the chance that if you are #1 on their recruiting board and offer that there is a chance they will commit on the spot

Since Iron advanced already, do you want to get our game in tonight so the league can move on if need be?

I will see... if I can it will be later tonight (like 9-9:30p) as the woman might kill me as I have been on the PS3 every night this week. We shall see... (oh, if it shows I am online... I am not, I left the PS3 running downstairs.

Piney and I had another classic game. No OT this time around however.
OU was controlling the game 24 - 7 in the third as KSU was having a difficult time getting any rhythm offensively and was not putting up much fight defensively. Then a little momentum was gained for KSU by Graham connecting with Carroll for a 40 yd TD.
4th qtr 24-14 OU and the tides turned with a pick-6 followed by a quick defensive hold and what amounted to the game winning drive fueled by a huge 3rd conversion followed by a Eugene Jarvis TD with over 2 minutes. KSU held OU to a 3 and out and trying to play the field position game decided to punt with 1:45 to go trailing by 4. After 2 runs mounted for 3 yards, a playaction pass to Eugene Jarvis out of the backfield netted a first down enabling the clock to be ran out, and a victory for the Golden Flashes.

Good game Piney!
