NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

Good thing I have a CB with 96 speed and another CB with 94 speed that are both over 6ft tall. Plus I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I have been working on. And in case that doesn't work, next season I am bringing in a CB with 98 speed.

It's really pretty easy to stop. Especially when everyone talks about the scheme I run in multiple threads. Should we start posting everyone's "go to plays" in a spreadsheet in here?

I hope they fix that and I hope they punish the people who run around in a circle in the back field until the receivers come back to the ball. I like to call it the Bly effect

I would like ALL talk about Bly abolished! He would have been a great Duck, I would run play action after play action turning half of them into designed running plays.

:pissed: YOU WHOBE! :wink2:

Do I have any 'go to plays'? Maybe that is my problem?

My go to plays: Austin Collie lined up at RB, delay block release into the flat or motion out and send deep. Thinking back on season 1, Collie was a 91 SPD WR and was dominant. Ah the glory days of leather helmets and no facemasks.

No. fanatic already told us that he couldn't upload his spreadsheet. We'll have to post it in a .pdf. :tongue2:

eh, sometimes the defense just gets no pressure in that case I have no problem with you standing there and waiting for the recievers to get back

however 15-20 yard dropbacks are just unrealistic (I dont remember anyone in these dynasties constantly doing this though), most of the games ive played in these dynasties have been realtively cheese free

the thing that pisses me off though is when people roll to one side (which pulls the defense over) and throw it cross body to a wide open HB or WR on the other side of the field, THAT is highly annoying

Dropping back and moving side to side is fine. Very tough to stop with SPD QB's, but fine. Dropping straight back is cheese. The throwing across field seems to get picked off as much as completed, I havent really experienced that much.

It actually happens pretty frequently in both dynasties. I've had to stop myself from doing it too. My natural reaction after so many years of playing this is to bail out when I see something coming. The real pisser for me is the instant bail out. Take the snap and instantly drop back a mile. I hate that shit.

Highly. Like the dropback. I've done that before too, but probably only a couple of times per season, and it's usually just reactionary. Roll out and see someone streaking down the field on the opposite side, and hit the button. The guys that will do it several times per game know what they're doing though. They're not just taking what the defense is giving them.

Absolutely. I've tried to become more of a pocket scrambler than I ever was in previous versions of the game. Stepping up in the pocket or moving side to side within 10-15 yards of the LOS. I'll still panic every now and then, try to bail, and end up getting sacked for a big loss. But usually it's too late for me to do the cheese dropback anyway.

You are right, because athletic QB's never break tackles, leave the pocket, head to the side line and hit WR's that break off routes. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen that in a game....

It would be one thing if I dropped 20 yards back, ran to the left, or to the right, then back the other way, scrambled a bit more, then finally threw the ball. However, when I scramble, it's always to the sideline and I either keep it, or throw the pass. If you are going to call me out on cheesing your one beef would be with flipping between an option team and a spread team, since no team really does this (unless you are counting some local high schools....).

I can tell you one thing though, I have never seen a team throw the 15 - 20 60 yrd bombs in a game. Despite the defense playing quarters cover 4 with an extra man over the top........

Listen, I really wasn't trying to turn this into a cheese thread, but you took it there with your comment. In fact, I don't even really consider what you do cheesing. You are just taking advantage of a real play that works. It is just frustrating on the other end when you have a FS with 91 spd 20 yrds off the ball and you still get burnt by 5 yards. It is not realistic and I hope EA fixes it, that's all.

Anyway, I have enjoyed my two games with you and think both have been very competitive and fun.

EDIT - Did I just over react and get a little fired about about a video game???.......ouch, sorry Basebuck......If I keep this up Bly may get a little upset and transfer.....lol.

Agree with everything you said. My tone didn't come across as I wanted. I wasn't saying that you are cheesing, just that there are some stupid things that the game allows, (my deep ball and your super speed QB included).

Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I dont think ive played anyone who does it on a cheese type level in these dynasties

I know everyone has there moments where they unintentionally do something that is cheesy, I know I have, but for the most parts in these dynasties I havent encountered much constant cheese, just my opinion though I know everyone has their own opinion on what is considered cheesy
