NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

I kept a web page of every season's schedule with "autopilot" marked if a human vs. human game wasn't actually played. Post #3 has been updated with human records from each season. I'm pretty sure it's accurate. If anyone has any questions, I'll let you know which games I counted and didn't count, and their final score.

EDIT:
BTW, I'm 4-2 in BCS games in both dynasties, with 1 MAC Dynasty Championship and 1 MNC in the Piney dynasty
So should I add a number for "Season Champs"?

I don't know. I guess that the only "Season champs" would be from this dynasty. I think that it was fairly apparent that 'mania had the best team last season, and you and I had to play 5 or 6 games to win the conference in the two MAC seasons. So I think it's a legitimate add-on if you want.

Okay, here is where I'm at so far...

Point values are 6,5,4,3,1 in each league, the criteria are as follows:

6 Points:
Final Ranking of #1

5 Points:
Human Win

4 Points:

IBI - BCS Bowl Win not NC
Piney - Final Ranking #2-5

3 Points:

IBI - Tier 1 Bowl (Capital One, Holiday, Outback, should I add?)
Piney - Final Ranking #6-15

1 Point:

IBI - Tier 2 Bowl (the rest)
Piney - Final Ranking #16-25

I have plugged the numbers into Excel and since I cant upload excel, I printed to PDF. Let me know what changes to make. Specifically, I don't know if I like using the average ranking of the two leagues as the final ranking. Any better ideas? It's a starting point.

I didnt add it in the first time around, but I can add it in if deemed necessary.

At least I'm beating BN.

Oh, and I have more than four human wins in this dynasty, and I went to the Rose Bowl.
With Rose Bowl change you go from 20 to 24 points. Stay in same position but increase your lead. I went off human victories from front page, so I am sure IBI can find the victories.

The Rose Bowl wasn't a BCS win. You are 4-2 before this season. 1-0 with Toledo, and 3-2 with UCLA last season. I won't be updating this season's records until the season is over.

I went. I lost to Wisky. Damn Badgers. We don't need no stinkin' Badgers. I just brought it up because I thought that's what "Tier 1 Bowl" meant.
To get the points you had to win the bowl. Which would make it more difficult to earn points in IBI's league than Piney's since the points were awarded off final ranking in one and bowl wins in the other.

Are we going to crown a NCAA 2009 champion? Reward points for National Championships, BCS wins, Human wins? Tally it for both leagues, I think it would be cool.

EDIT:
Well, since our commissioners track our progress differently this thought would have to be tweaked. IBI kept track of bowl games but not human games. Piney kept track of human games but not bowl games. Both (I believe) have final rankings, so I could tally up points for each league but try to weight it so that its fair with the information we have.

While it isn't posted, I do have the results of every games since season 1. Including Conference championship weeks & bowl games. Basically before I cleared the season schedule from my post #1, I copied the previous season results into an excel spreadsheet here at work.

And fanatic... you forgot to count my eventual National Championship in the MAC dyansty that Iron stole from me

Be prepared for about 10 - 15 "drop back and lob the ball deep". If you don't have a corner and FS with 92+ speed, then there is not much you can do.......well short of controlling the FS and getting a 20 yrd head start.

That is the one thing I hope they fix in next years edition, there is no way there is that large (~ 20 yrd) discrepency in speed of D1 players.

Good thing I have a CB with 96 speed and another CB with 94 speed that are both over 6ft tall. Plus I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I have been working on. And in case that doesn't work, next season I am bringing in a CB with 98 speed.

I hope they fix that and I hope they punish the people who run around in a circle in the back field until the receivers come back to the ball. I like to call it the Bly effect
