NCAA Tournament, the field of 65

My point is that we're average.
Was that lost on someone?

Purdue's woes are well documented.
Michigan State has not been great this year.
Minnesota has been a train wreck other than 3 game hiatus in the tourney.
Wisconsin has been ok, not great.
Regardless of hype
The criticism of the big east isn't merely because they're losing, it's because of how far they've fallen from their lofty status.
EDIT: hence I see no need for us to cast stones...
Is someone throwing stones at the pac-10? Because then you'd have more of a point.

Perhaps not lost on you.

Still see no need to cast stones.

My point stands as I've made it. I get that you don't agree. OK.

Because the b10's struggles make it hypocritical?

Considering that folks are casting stones at every b10 tourney participant so far, I fail to see the merit of that argument.

If you want to make the argument something else, that people shouldn't be critical of others period, that would make sense logically even if I disagree strongly with it.

It's not that I don't agree, I don't think that it is logical.

Yesterday I kept reading on this thread "Big East basketball..." as Big East teams went down.

Same can be said about B10 basketball. Now that Purdont has lost the Hummer, they are average. B10 basketball=tOSU and MSU. The rest are average.

It can be looked at this way:

Today, in 3 games with Big Ten teams, the higher seed won each game.

Yesterday, in 4 Big East games, 3 higher seeded Big East teams lost, and the only winner was a #2 seed that snuck by the #15 in OT.

Objectively, which conference is underperforming in the tournament?

Yes, I do see it as hypocritical to bash others when your own lot aren't any different. I also see this unnecessary chip on fans (collectively) shoulders that seems to frequently cause fan bases to rip other conferences. Granted, it's far better her at BP than ANY other site I've been to, but I still see it as unnecessary. If you don't, that's fine too.

this... and the 3 higher seeded big east teams didn't just lose to slight underdogs yesterday. two 6s lost to 11s and a 3 lost to a 14. as noted, a 2-seed needed overtime to get past a 15-seed. that outcome would have been different had the officials done their job without bias.

had villanova lost yesterday, it would have been the worst first day for any major conference... ever. given that the big east was considered to be the best conference without question, that conference deserves the unfavorable limelight.

Well what in the hell am I supposed to do with all these fucking rocks then?

Do have any idea how long it took me to write "Tebow" and "Meyer" on all these things? I don't even want to talk about the time I've put into the scUM pile.

They implement a non rock throwing rule and I'm going back to the fucking ESPN boards.

One interesting note after a day and a half of action.

It was common to complain about the weak seeds in Duke's region, but that region will be the only one that had all of the 2 through 5 seeds win their opening round.

#3 GTown (MW), #4 Vandy (S), and #5 Temple (E) have been knocked out.

Now, Villanove squeaked by, and I'm on record as saying that tOSU should have been in that spot. But If tOSU would have been placed in Duke's region, there would have been no reason for bitching about Duke's path.
