Got my recruiting done last night... Still not included in the bowl projections list... Looking like a .500 season just isn't going to get my into a game this year.
I think that your schedule combined with record might keep you out of a bowl, which will keep you from getting a winning record, which will keep you from getting promoted to the WAC. Did San Jose St. have more than one FCS opponent this year? I don't know if the game does this correctly, but, IRL, only one win against an FCS opponent can go toward the minimum needed for bowl eligibility. However, this is the world of EA, so I'm wondering if any wins against an FCS opponent would count. You may still only have 5 wins that go toward bowl eligibility.

Last night I checked on the goings on in NCAA in this league... dang. Stanford and Notre Dame are #1/#2??? With 2-3 losses each? Another 2-3 loss team is #3. Then you have a bunch of one loss teams in the #4-#8 range including Ohio State.

Then you have the battle between me and fanatic to be the highest ranked user team. Media have me on top, Coaches have fanatic on top and the BCS has fanatic on top.

Just curious if either of us could get to a BCS bowl in year 1. I need to be able to beat fanatic in something

At least one good thing though... I somehow have the Heisman frontrunner!!!

I suppose you could, but I doubt you will. There are no at large bids available for BCS games except for those created by automatic qualifiers making the NCG. If things hold, then the B1G and PAC will be represented in the NCG, and that will open up one spot against the SEC champ (Orange) and one spot against the Big 12 champ (Rose). Using the BCS games was the best way for me to add a promotion battle between conferences without a CCG...so I used up all of the slots for promotion games.

You might be right. One of my 5 was against an FCS, but I only had one FCS opponent. I didn't beat a team that I considered a marquee opponent on my schedule (Stanford, UCLA, Hawaii, Kansas State) and lost to 1-8 Akron (eventhough that game was simmed). Had another win get taken away from me (Utah State) due to a server issue.

Oh well it is what it is. Lets just hope as it goes along I get into a bowl game. Recruiting is still going to suck as a 6-6 club

Didn't realize there weren't any at-large BCS slots available. Then again, I didn't really read the rules and such and understand them. But then again I am just going with the flow and don't care to understand them until maybe 5-6 seasons in when we are truly good teams finally.

I'm going to be out of town this afternoon until tomorrow afternoon/evening. Smooth, is advancing via the website painless? If so, then I might check in and try to advance sometime before or after the game tonight. If not, then I'll just wait until tomorrow.

No one has a week 15 game, so I'm going to treat week 15 like an offseason week. Once I advance to week 15, everyone will have one day to get their recruiting finished, then I'll advance to the CCGs. None of us will play in a CCG this season, and there's no recruiting that week, so I'll leave it on that week long enough to post the website story, and go straight to bowl season.
