Just got it in the mail....first play from scrimmage, I run the speed option....Braxton gets hit & is out 3 weeks with broken ribs. wtf?! :lol:

So, is it safe to say that this years iteration is not an improvement over the past several?

I decided to skip it this season, which made me assume it would be the year Superbackers went away, players didn't get sucked into blocks, DB's didn't knock down passes they had no way of knowing were coming, the game didn't have multiple issues causing freezes etc.

However, the past few pages of this thread make me think the decision to skip was a good one. what do you guys think so far?

I think the gameplay overall is better, there just seems to be a few other bugs that are ruining it (freeze issues, coaching carousel, cpu option)

The gameplay is a major improvement.

super backers are nowhere to be found. You can throw over defenders. DBs are no longer psychic. If you gamble on an out route or comeback, they will sometimes break on it and make you pay, but it's realistic. Guys don't warp/suction across passes any more.

Furthermore other than deep balls (which are a symptom of the defense adjusting its coverage to stop underneath passes you threw earlier in the game), money plays are much less frequent. You can't just hot route a guy into the flats (worse yet with a slant) for easy exploitation of the defense.

The coding is still a major problem. There are still freezes and the horribly broken coaching carousel system got even worse.

Sounds about right. So, where's the problem? HAHAHA!
