NCAA Football 12 + Rosters

Man...fuck EA.

Seriously, changing any little thing in the roster file completely fucks it up. Change Taylor Martinez's helmet, he becomes balanced.

Ugh.

What a nightmare. Unless EA can somehow patch this to allow the named rosters to work without redoing them, this is a colossal fuckup.

There are a couple positives I'm happy to see. First, I like the little tweaks EA made to recruiting. Recruits aren't always ready to schedule a visit after a couple weeks of phone calls. I've had a few Week 12 visits from guys I recruited since day one because they just weren't ready to visit. I can actually get good recruits to visit for the big games.

Also, I love having only one kick returner. I'd like to have the option, but I'd much rather have one returner back there than two.

I had the option for one deep returner in last years game, they were stacked instead of both on the 5. I wonder if that is a playbook option?

I've started playing games in the coach-only dynasty I was going to try.

I made Wright State in TeamBuilder, had them replicate Akron's roster (worst in the game) and had them take the place of Buffalo in the MAC. I came on as a d-coordinator, and I'm playing every game with coach controls, so The only thing I do in a game is set the gameplan and call defensive plays. It super sims the offense, and every defensive snap is shown live.

Second game of the year, I'm playing Pitt. They drove to the 5-yard line, where a CB stepped into an option pitch and took it the other way for a score. 5 picks and 5 sacks later...

That's was as much fun as I imagine one could have "not playing" a visor game.

Goddammit, playing Road to Glory...

As a QB for OSU, just did my third practice, had 9 straight drops. NINE.

Not to mention all the wide open recievers that inexplicably would stop running, and allow the safety to step over and make the easy pick. Jesus Christ.

I'm just super fucking excited that they got it right this year and made OSU's WR corp the worst in the game.

Jesus titty fucking Christ.

B1G championship, had 13 recorded drops by Posey, Stoney, and Brown.

13.

In a half.

And no, I'm not simply throwing bullet passes or anything, I'd say about 75% of those "drops" came after the WR made the catch, turned, and got hit. Not big hits mind you, but a standard hit. Ball came squirting out every motherfucking time.

Oh, this was against that vaunted secondary in m*c*.

Fuck me. I'm done with this shit...at least until tomorrow. :P

What the...

Now the first thing that happens in the offseason is exporting the draft class to Madden 12. This happens before the Players Leaving section. So I exported my draft class, then I talked Orhian, Buchanan, and Travis Howard into staying (damn you, CJ Barnett). So what's going to happen? WTF, EA?

So I believe that you can export it right after the season, but also after you are done with the players leaving section. So you might as well reject the first one and do the players leaving, then you can export it after that. Don't trust me on that, but thats what I thought.
