NCAA Football 11 (PS3) Bad Teams Online Dynasty

Here's my thoughts regarding the new glitches and restarting:

EA will have to patch this, they've been pretty consistent with releasing tuners and patches, at least seemingly moreso than in the past.

While we wait for the patch on the gamekiller, let's finish out this season through the bowls (we're almost there) and hope a patch comes out by the time we're done.

Then we can restart if need be. I'm okay with a restart, as I'm now accustomed to the game and would do some things drastically differently with new go around. given that i'm also ok with moving forward.

Like always... Ohio grabs a 5* commit and everyone wants to restart  Wish that was true :wink2:

I have faith that the most recent glitch will get solved. So I don't consider it an issue.

Now, about the restart due to recruits. I am torn. I REALLY wish we could take this dynasty offline to find out how bad these recruits would be. Cuz if they are 50s/60s bad then everyone gets an ever worst team next year (unless you recruited 5* studs and/or you had zero seniors) and that won't be fun at ALL.

But then again... how much better will they be after the fix? If someone can give us some data to show us what the net affect it will be, it would be better to use to decide what we should do. Cuz how bad is it really? And how much better will it be next season? Are we talking 57 ratings for the 400th rated recruit? And under the new recruiting rankings they will be 67? That's a big difference that I would agree we should restart. But if they are going from 60 to 63... is that really a big difference?

Since most of us are looking at 3* and lower recruits...mostly 1 and 2 star recruits, I would say that our recruits aren't going to be much worse than they would have been anyway. Post patch, I've seen a lot of 3* guys in the 60's and up to the high 70's, most 1 and 2 star recruits are in the high 40's to low 60's. I've seen 4 stars range all the way from mid-60's to low 80's. I don't know what they would have been pre-patch, but I can't imagine that the 1 and 2 star guys are much different than before. Just a slight difference in some of the attributes, but probably not a huge difference in OVR.

Anyway. With 5 "No" votes, and 2 "yes, but don't really care" votes, it looks like restarting and the pump fake glitch will be non-issues. If anyone wants to help me in finding some good sliders for our type of dynasty, then please do.

Ok, my vote will be not to restart (unless you guys want me to beat OSU this time around )

As long as the 3* recruits are coming in around upper 60s/low 70s I am fine with that. Cuz what I am worried about is the recruits that are ranked in the 500 range that I got commits from. If they were coming in upper 50s/low 60s then that would just kill me (and everyone else that got that type of recruit). As long as they should come in around 67-70 range I am fine with that.

Just got beat by Florida 14-9. I was able to shut their offense down, but their defense just smothered my offense. I had a bunch of turnovers, 3 HUGE game changers. Every single one was in their territory when I was driving down the field, just BS. Two fumbles from behind grapplings, they returned one at the end of the half for a TD to go up 14-0. I was able to muster some offense and get a FG and then a TD, went for two and my guy dropped the ball. I stopped them on defense and had about 1:30 left....driving down the field and my guy is open, it goes off his fingers and into the DBs hands....ball game. Disappointing to lose, but I was playing without my first string QB and HB. Hopefully I can beat Boise and get to a decent bowl game.

Just thrashed Texas Tech 33-7 in one of best played games I've had to date. Played the game without my best OL, RB, and WR. TT couldn't do anything against me, they passed for over 200, but it was inconsistent.

I've been pretty thorough in looking for a playbook for my teams, and I landed on Ohio State's for NT. With such a bad OL, I found that OSU's power run book is decent enough to open up some small holes against decent defensive lines and I use a majority of the formations and plays in the book.

I just want to be clear I'm cool with keeping the dynasty moving forward. I've made some mistakes this year with team management, but it's nothing I can't overcome and correct in year 2.

The worst thing about being independent is that I cannot use that as a recruiting tool. Does having a better schedule for independents raise their "conference prestige" rating? Also how much do the recruiting ratings change from season to season? (ie program stability, coach prestige, exp, etc)

I have an A+ schedule and my conference prestige is crap. Maybe it will go up next season...I guess that's something to look for. Other recruiting rankings typically have a change of -1 to +1. A mediocre season will not change much, a bad one will cause ratings to drop and vice versa.

beat Mizzou to get to bowl eligible

ill gladly take 3 star recruits on defense regardless of their incoming rating, especially CBs, they couldnt possibly be worse than what I currently have

Gabbert was 33/51 474 yards 4 tds 0 ints
