NCAA Football 11 (PS3) Bad Teams Online Dynasty

I can't imagine having my NT team line up against Clay...

I played Arkansas last night and I was cool with the thought that Mallet would tear me up. What I didn't expect was that 6'4" 230 lb back, Wingo Jr. to run straight threw my defense. In the first quarter they ran a simple delay play up the middle. I had a 4-3 defense on and I watched in awe as 4 of my defenders try to tackle him only to fall or bounce off of him as he ran right up the middle for a 67 yard score to go up 14-7. I knew I had no chance at that point.

Wingo Jr. ticked off 250+ yards and 3 TDs and there was nothing I could do to slow him down.

Btw, for shits and giggles I posted 3 videos of wide open drops would've gone for TDs.

Draughns (UNC RB) did that against me. He'd spin, juke and bowled over most of my defense. Then when I play called to stop that freaking Yates would make some great pass. Only when they were up by 3 scores and ran every play I was able to stop them and almost come back from behind to win the game.

I swear, the cpu cheats that way. You play a run defense and they pass and you play a pass defense they run. And the worst is when you are on offense. You call run plays with 4 WR sets and they line up in a 4-3 every freaking time!

I know I am on a bye, but I plan on getting my recruiting done around 8pm after my lil boy goes to sleep.

Im not sure what they did to the tuning or whatever but this is fucked up. I am in the 3rd quarter of my game against Wyoming and I have been fucked over constantly. The fumbles are absurd, everyone from behind while the guys is just hanging on my back. I have the videos to upload, just fucking pathetic.

I actually took out Alabama last night!! Ingram and Richardson ran all over me, but McElroy was just awful. On the opening drive 'bama was driving it right down my throat and there was nothing that I could do about it. Then McElroy scrambles on a pass play, he almost makes it to the first down marker, and doesn't slide...I hit stick him and he coughs up the ball. I was able to drive down and take the lead 7-0. Alabama still dominated my defense for the entire first half, but I was able to hold them to FGs on two of their first half drives, and actually led 21-20 at halftime. I get the ball to start the second half...took a 28-20 lead. Of course, they score a TD and 2-point conversion, but that was their only score of the second half. I scored the final TD with way too much time on the clock, but, once again, 'bama was moving the ball at will, and going in for the imminent tying score, when, once again, McElroy fumbles the ball with :46 left in the game, and Alabama only having one TO left. Kneel downs to finish the game, and now I'm pretty sure that I won't get fired after this season. :biggrin:

The comment is interesting, because it has been true the last few years. Seems like online dynasty games are a little bit more difficult than the same game in an offline dynasty.

As a new guy, just something you will have to adjust too.

There's another game tuner thingy.

I just finished my regular season with a 10-7 loss to Tennessee. Their kicker, having already missed three field goals earlier in the game, hit the game-winning 54 yarder. He was put into field goal "range" after my defender face masked a guy I stopped on third down. Joy.

I lost count of the number of turnovers I had.

I have to say, I'm happy to be done. It was 7-7 in the second quarter and I was ready to just super sim the rest of the game. It just wasn't fun.

We are in week 12 so it's time to start taking a look at next season.

Items to discuss:

  • Now that recruit ratings have supposedly been fixed as much as they're going to be fixed. Should we finish out this season and do like the 360 guys are doing, and restart the dynasty? I'll keep all of the awards, standings, and records on the 3rd post of this thread, but that will be the only record of this season, if we decide to wipe out the dynasty and restart.
    • I'm willing to go whatever way the majority of the dynasty wants to go, but pros and cons should be weighed. Here are my pros and cons.
      • Pro: Restarting will mean one more season with the crappy team that you have, but it will also give everyone a chance to actually build their team up, rather than sliding backward due to screwed up recruits.
      • Con: Restarting is not the ideal option for me because it's a pain in my ass, and I've adjusted my recruiting strategy to make the lost season worth my while...at least, I think I did.
  • Sliders - If we can get a good set of sliders then I would like to implement them. WR catch, and RB ability are likely to be at the top of everyone's wishlist, but every slider should be examined to improve the gaming experience.
  • Possible yet unlikely shutdown. If EA cannot fix the most recent game killing glitch, then I will not try running a dynasty in which a get out of jail free glitch is always an option. I have no desire to stop playing online, but I just don't want to deal with trying to police something like that. If it comes to this, I will hand off the commish job to someone else, but I really don't think that I'll ever play this game again if the pump fake glitch is not repaired, and repaired very very soon.

I personally don't mind either way; would prefer continuing but won't pitch a fit.

As for the glitch, I would anticipate that as a non issue for us. I never pump fake anyway, but we're pretty accountable to each other.
