NCAA Football 11 (PS3) Bad Teams Online Dynasty

I've added the "Rivals" category to the schedules just under everyone's SOS. I didn't know how they would turn out, with all the conference moves, so this is the first time that I'm seeing everyone's rivals. If your rivals are on your schedule this year, then I/you lucked out. If they're not...sorry, that's one drawback to not being able to advance this dynasty offline.

Whew, that was a brutal recruiting session. If I don't land a QB this year I'll be stuck with one in the mid 50s next season. I tried to get interest from 3 in state 3 stars (yea I don't care if you see that) and all of them don't care about the only "strengths" of my program.

I kinda wish I did more research before picking NT, but I'll win a bowl game with them before RR will at Michigan. :wink2:

And the inevitable fuck-me-over with the online recruiting has happened. Click to recruit a player, say I want 3 topics, the site freezes. I go back in, and I'm out 30 minutes and I can't talk to that guy anymore.

and of course I lose the 2nd try

love how super computer comes alive on All American mode in this game

I start off the game pretty much dominating they couldnt get anything on me, then the second quarter started and from that point it seemed like the AI had pre determined it was going to win (like Heisman mode on previous versions) start of the 2nd quarter they get a [censored]ing punt return for a TD and then the second half starts with a fumble 6 (where my QB was sacked at the legs and somehow fumbles) and super computer comes alive and scores 35 points on me in the second half

super human dline sacks me 6 times (along with about 20 hit as the QB throws where the ball goes like 2 yards before falling to the ground) and this is from a team with a "C" rating on defense

there QB doesnt do [censored] for the first 11 minutes of the game

then with with a minute left in the half robo QB kicks in and leads them on a quick drive for a TD, and then proceeds to complete basically every pass in the second half along with 4 tds

Played my game last night against Air Force, and I'm already looking for a new playbook. Even though PCU has a shit ton of WRs, a spread, ball control, pass-happy offense is not the way to go for this team. The WRs were open for most of the game, but I had at least a dozen drops in the first half. Once I started running the ball a lot more I was finally able to move the ball. Granted, I don't have a single player with catch ability over 67, so drops are to be expected, but damn that was frustrating.

With the score 3-0 at halftime, I abandoned the pass-happy offense, and went to a lot more running and play action. I was able to take complete control of the ballgame at that point, and scored 3 offensive TDs, kept Air Force buried in their own territory, and was able to sub-in my backups with 5 minutes left in the game, even though it was only 17-0 at the time. My subs scored the final offensive TD, and the 2nd string defense also hit the Air Force QB in the end zone, caused a fumble, and recovered it for the final TD with :02 left in the game. Final score: 31-0 Whooping Cranes

I am very glad that fatigue seems to be working this year, and now that I'm sure that it is, I need to adjust my auto-subs so I don't have worn out O-linemen not getting out of their stance, tired Defensive players getting destroyed, and to get a realistic rotation for all of my players. All of my players suck anyway, so I might as well keep them fresh and rotate as much as I can. Maybe a 75/80 or 80/85 sub package for all of my players.

That's kinda funny, because the same thing happened to me, well except the opposite.

The strengths on paper for my team is running back and the left side of my offensive line. So my plan going into the game against Maryland was to run off the left side of my line and throw a lot of dump off passes and screens to the RB (who has a catch rating above 70). Well I couldn't do anything early on running the ball and just about every pass I threw to the RB bounced off his facemask, but found that I had great success passing the ball on 3rd and long.

So I went with it and crushed Maryland passing the ball. My QB with a rating in the 60s passed to the WRs rated mostly in the 60s and I finally got my RB to start catching the ball. My QB threw for over 300 yards with a 4:1 TD INT ratio. That's even better than what I did with Pryor and OSU so far, lol.

Maryland started playing the pass a lot so I ran the ball a few times and broke a couple 40 yard runs.

We'll see if my QB can keep up the success, but I have a feeling I'll come back to reality soon.

I just got a "data download fail, this game will not count towards your school" message as I tried to play teh game.

What does this mean? Should I restart? and suggestions? don't really want to play the game and have it not count. I may try a restart....but will wait a few to see If I get a response from someone who knows.

Don't worry about it. Everyone's getting that. It has to do with your Season Showdown stats.
