Seems like EA might be getting a little out of hand with all that :roll1:.

On another note. One thing that would absolutely make these games worthwhile to me is a Play Editor. I remember on NFL 2k1 or so for Dreamcast, there was the ability to create your own play(s), put it in the playbook and use it during the game. I exploited this so well at the time. Nothing pisses me off more than to be running out of play clock looking for that specific play, either where a DB blitzes and the DE drops into zone or the LB picks up man, and not being able to find it and settling for a play that gets worked because you couldn't bring any pressure. Or having the worst passing routes and not being able to modify it. Because maybe if that slot receiver ran a streak or post, instead of a slant or in route, that could be a touchdown torching the defense. That is the one thing that I would like to see above all else for modifications at this point. I hate having such a predictable, limited playbook. I understand the animations are set, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to modify where the players are at a specific time during the game play, or even pre-snap at the very least. I know it won't be in this years game, and probably not in the future, I mean with the new wind socks and all.

You've been able to call different hot routes at the LOS for a few years now. Nearly any eligible receiver can have their routes changed to an In/Out route, streak, slant, curl, or send them to the flats. I think there's a wheel route option too, but can't remember. You can also hot route any receiver, that is supposed to run a route, to block either left or right, instead of going out for the pass.

Also, changing the direction of a running play without flipping the entire formation has been a nice hot read option that they put in at least a couple of years ago too.

I use the hot route option just about every play. I basically just call formations on pass plays and then change routes pre snap

06/01/09 1:33 PM

TeamBuilder - one of the year's most highly anticipated video game features - is now available for the first time at http://teambuilder.easports.com. TeamBuilder is an all-new, online create-a-school feature that revolutionizes the user's ability to produce personalized content for NCAA Football 10. The teams created via the TeamBuilder web application will be available for use in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of NCAA Football 10 when the title hits shelves on July 14th. The original packaging of NCAA Football 10 will contain a code that unlocks 12 slots, allowing users to save up to 12 created teams to the console hard drive. Those who pre-order NCAA Football 10 will receive a code for an additional 13 slots, allowing them to save 25 created teams directly to the console hard drive.
With the capability to upload logos and numerous customization options for uniforms, fields, rosters, and much more, TeamBuilder gives users the opportunity to design completely original teams with infinite possibilities. Plus, preloaded logos for several Football Championship Subdivision schools will allow users to add more teams to NCAA Football 10. With its intuitively designed online database that is searchable across several fields, TeamBuilder allows users to share their unique, customized content with ease. A football fan's dream, TeamBuilder will enable users to experience the excitement and pageantry of college football, defined by their own personalized creations.
First introduced in NCAA Football 2000 on the PlayStation, create-a-school has been a favorite feature of sports gamers for years. The PS2 version made its debut in NCAA Football 2003 and for the past three years, fans have anxiously awaited the next generation of create-a-school. The wait is now over, as EA SPORTS proudly presents the arrival of TeamBuilder, a revolution in create-a-school history.

Very long O.S. blog on NCAA 10, recommended reading for any fans of the series

Operation Sports - NCAA Football 10 Preview - PS3
Apart from establishing your coach’s credibility, users will now be able to attack a rival school’s integrity with Competitive Recruiting. Select a school in your prospect’s top ten and see all the pitches that opposing schools have offered him. Your goal is to find out what he wants and lower his interest in pitches from rivals. The Gators can offer ‘ok’ things like cars and money. My Canes will just pitch our program prestige, academic excellence (I’m serious. It’s a great institution), or maybe just send them over keys to an Escalade if all else fails.

Minor attribute ratings tweaks have been made for incoming freshmen. Prospects don't arrive with such high ratings anymore. Expect for more player progression as your dynasties build than in the past.
In a recent interview with ESPN.com videogames, NCAA Football 10 Developer Ben Haumiller discussed the real-time speed ratings:”We had a bunch of Usain Bolts running around [Laughs]. So we tuned that back. Now the 99 speed guys will dip into the lower 4.2s, but never in the 4.1s.”

New game play additions and improvements in NCAA Football 10 from EA Sports show the game’s progress with even more on-the-field dynamics. Tiburon studios spent tons time improving player pursuit angles, lateral movements, and defensive player locks. The computer will now pursue the ball carrier with the appropriate angles, even during jukes and spins.
There will be a counterproductive element in place to ensure users do not abuse the strategies. For example, your offensive linemen will get flagged for holding penalties if you continually instruct them to open gaps for the running backs.
It starts with new specifically designed end zones. The EA Sports designers have developed a new way to add specific and customized end zones to each of the NCAA’s football stadiums. Also added were new camera flashes that increase or decrease depending on the game situation and magnitude of games such as bowl matchups.

Another subtle feature is the jersey editor. Now users can mix and match alternative jerseys with home helmets, and away uniform pants. The possibilities are opened-up with these available options. This could potentially be a favorite of mine so I can customize my Hurricanes in their sweet gear.

Does anyone know how to share links to teambuilder creations?

I like the ability to mix existing logos and uniforms with custom creations. I gave OSU a black uniform just to make the locals upset :p

Anybody know if they have finally brought back the formation subs. I would love to see those back. I love building the offense around what you want.

Yes!!!

But on the EA sports website you need to go to their forum to find out exactly how to do that. I forget where it tells you how to, dig through those thread there to find out.

If you're talking about the option of "HB Slot" or "Two HB" at the play call screen, then yes, that's in.

If you're talking about the ability to say which personnel you always want in nickle situations or covering kicks, then no, that's still not in.

Actually on the teambuilder website you can search for created teams. All you need to to is give out your EA handle and then people can search for your created teams. That is what I heard you can do, haven't done that yet though, so not sure where that is located.

I just loved being able to search through teams rosters to check out ratings. That was just sweet! I so wish that website wasn't blocked at my work, but that might be a good thing cuz I would get even less work done than I do now.

Right, I just didn't know if there was a way to link to that directly. Fans cannot change leaf colors however.

Damn...what could be so hard about putting this in the game? It was in the earlier games, why not bring it back?
