NCAA Coaches: Bribing Players

Please please please...

There’s potential impermissible benefits and preferential treatment for players and families of players at Duke, North Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan State, USC, Alabama and a host of other schools. The documents link some of the sport’s biggest current stars – Michigan State’s Miles Bridges, Alabama’s Collin Sexton and Duke’s Wendell Carter – to specific potential extra benefits for either the athletes or their family members.

None of these surprise me and generally speaking, I think the Big Ten is clean, with one exception- Izzo.

By the way, as much as I’ll enjoy this, the NCAA is still an absurd model.

Sucks some of these kids will get caught in the crossfire of an archaic system that leads kids to obtaining their worth in “illegal” ways. Over $1B in revenue! Kid accepts $10k.

I’ll try to save it for the other thread but had to say it...

I have a feeling this opinion is going to be coming from all directions pretty soon. Since, for now, it seems like Ohio State is clean....coming from an Ohio State fan, the intent is pure. Once it starts coming from the Dookies and Kentucky fans, my eyes might roll straight out of my head.

Nah, my hatred of the NCAA is pretty long standing.

Even the field, find a way to pay kids. Those that go beyond that (likely the Dukes, UKs, KUs) should get punished.

So do you want the schools with the deepest pockets to always get the best recruits?
