A thread at Operation Sports is saying that Run Commit will still be in the game.

:smash:

The keys were a good idea, IMO. Just poorly executed. I like the idea of being able to do something about an opponents predictable gameplan. The TECMO-like results and the risk-reward for guessing wrong was piss poorly executed. IF EA can implement the keys, and the gameplanning to be useful tools rather than blatant glitching, then I'd welcome the chance to use those "features" again.

Like usual, EA used warp animations instead of actual physics for the run/pass commits.

If they used actual physics, then quarter run commit would be useless. These speed dbs would fly into the massive linemen and get pancaked or shoved upfield. Instead they stuff the run better than a 5-2 defense.

Instead of turning them into superheroes (or the opposition when you guess wrong), just enhance their awareness and play recognition for that kind of play. If you guess pass commit, the guys should be on their heels... better at stepping into passing lanes and running in coverage but can't stuff the run until it gets to the second level.

Bingo. I think what will happen is just a toned down version of what we had last year.

Basically, if you want to play online, either buy the game new or pay a ten dollar fee.
I know why they do this, but I think it would discourage buyers more than encourage them. If they didn't want to pay retail, then forcing them to make up the difference with a fee is going to be a pretty similar deterrent.

I change my mind, I really hate this idea, its also going to affect rentals i read, I usually like to rent a game before I buy it, and now I can't play it online without paying the fee, such a crock

I agree...I don't rent games before I buy, but I don't see any upside by doing this?

Me too....hahaha I can't remember the last time I haven't bought madden or ncaa at midnight. Yes I am part of the problem!!!

This will be the first time in years that I don't go to a midnight release. But that's just because of JWins link that will save me twenty bucks.
