About time the teams play like they do in real life (Authentic Playbooks) esp the triple option/spread/etc...Took EA the past what, 18 years to figure this out??

I wonder if they have fixed the option game at all

its always been pretty awful in the game, especially since they started putting it out on PS3/XBOX360

Yeah they have. They have it set now to where the defensive end (or whoever the read on the play is) goes unblocked. If that player crashes down you pitch, if he stays home you keep. It was in one of those videos I posted earlier that dealt with the offensive styles.

EDIT: Here is the video I was talking about; they talk about the option starting at 1:10. In other videos it's been referenced as well.

Is there a reason I can't read the last page of this thread? It says there's 12 pages, but whenever I click on either "Last Page" or the "12" tab, I'm always brought back to page 11.

Edit: Well, until I made this post. Now it says this post is the first post of page 12. The hell?

It's been doing that to me for awhile too. Thank you for finally fixing it. :tongue2:

The Big Ten Expansion thread has also been doing the same thing to me. I don't know how many times I've read MaxBuck's post at the top of page 147, but I know that he thinks that if Texas isn't an option, then he'd rather only add Nebraska.:wink2:

The database has been having some table issues, and any time moderation happens with large threads, we risk breaking stuff. I can't count the number of times I broke the TSUN thread.

I blame 27.

Now this is an update, featuring gameplay video, that actually gets me excited for the game. Say it with me: Improved Blocking!

Yeah I saw that last night...it's looking good. Everything they've been announcing is on the offensive side of the ball so far, hopefully we get some defensive upgrades.

I personally can't wait for the dynasty updates.

Finally, that stretch play has been largely worthless in my other OD because of the AI.

I really like the upgrades they seem to be making there. My only concern is what happens if you stack the box on that dave play. Does the safety come unchecked, or does an OL leave the double team? Is there no double team at all if there are extra bodies in the box?

My concern for the blocking is that it will be like their pursuit angles fix. Rather than fixing pursuit angles, they just give the defender an artificial boost, and the runner isn't able to try to adjust a defenders angle. I'm wondering if the AI blocking improvements will just mean that the blockers will vacuum to the players that they're coded to go to, regardless of the whether that player is a threat. Dropping an LB into coverage, making the blocker chase him, and bringing in the safety would be an unfortunate, but expected flaw with how EA tends to code many of their "improvements".

Hopefully they can get us a demo, with all of these improvements built-in, so I can get a real test of the gameplay. If they don't have a good demo, then I'll have to stick to my original plan of waiting several weeks to decide whether to buy the game.
