Good game, fanatic. My shitty o-line finally bit me in the ass. Also, I had forgotten how useless the read option is against a human opponent. It sucks that my offense is based off that right now. I may have to go back to my offense from last season, but my QB this year is nowhere near as accurate as Montana was.

Good game to you too. I knew your OL was my only chance. Try to get enough pressure to avoid getting in the hands of your skill players. Sankey (SP?) and Sefarian (SP?) still managed to cause a bunch of damage. My DL is good this year, but I think it could have been ridiculous in a few seasons. I was able to rotate 7 guys in all game to stay fresh without a big dropoff. I have been playing 4 HB's this year, did you notice that during the game? 3 of them are basically the same type back, but #44 is a 240 lb monster of a man. Plus my FB is a threat running and receiving; but your Safety decided to let him sit this game.

Sankey, Seferian, and Wade are my three best threats. Wade did nothing but drop third-down passes. Sankey and Seferian had a decent game, but I got sacked way too much for it to matter.

As for your RBs, yeah, I noticed different ones back there. I was more afraid of your X receiver and your TE than anything, and wouldn't you know it, they both made big plays on me. And how in the bloody hell did you pick up on the one goddamn screen play I called the entire game? Christ man, that's just not fair.

Actually, simple. Have your three year old come and try to sit with you as your opponent is snapping the ball and ensure you are late off the line and have the RB run right to you. Er, I mean great skill and instinct.

Well it was quite a defensive slugfest last night as Ole Miss beat Clemson 10-3.

Clemson was able to open the game by driving the length of the field rather easily (chewing 6 minutes of clock in the process). But I adjusted and held him to just a FG. From that point on, Clemson just couldn't handle the front 4 of Ole Miss. (nor pass the ball)

As for the Ole Miss offense, things started off slow. I lost my starting QB (the only QB on my roster that has decent throwing abilities) early in the 2nd quarter and he didn't come back til midway through the 4th quarter. I also lost my 2nd string HB and starting FS all before the half.

So had to go to a run heavy offense, which had some moments but I just couldn't cross midfield much because I just didn't want to push my bad QBs much. Plus I was winning the field position battle, as Clemson just couldn't get anything going.

It was 3-3 midway through the 3rd quarter when the play of the day happened. Clemson starting at his 15 yrd line went back to pass and my two DEs decided to make a Clemson QB sandwhich and the ball popped loose and my all-world DE picked it up and ran the last 5 yards for the deciding TD.

Of course there was some drama, as I was driving for a game sealing score late in the 4th quarter when I got greedy. 3rd and 5 around the 25 yard line I decided to go for the kill and throw for the 1st down. Of course I throw one of my patented INTs and had to scramble to make sure it wasn't a pick 6. I should have just ran a dive play and kicked the game sealing FG... but I thought I was throwing a safe pass... :smash:

But overall a good game, just not a great day for offenses.
