NCAA 09 Online Dynasty (PS3 SIGNUPS)

Alrighty we are going to be a free for all league but you must pick a team that has a team score of 79 or under. Do people want to do a draft for teams? Or a first come first serve basis? We will wait til we are closer to the release date before we pick teams though and get an idea if we will have a full dynasty of 12.

Speaking of, here is the list I have of teams (84 teams) that are 79 or under.

SETTINGS & RULES

Time to open up everything else for discussion. This includes the non-conference schedules, what to do with cheesers, deadlines and game settings.

Here are the game settings I am thinking of.

Quarters - 7 Minutes
Level - All-American (Or do people want Heisman? Or shall we look for a good set of sliders?)

There are other settings like Ice the Kicker and QB Quiz. We'll wait til the game comes out to see if these extras are annoying or not.

Non-Conference Scheduling:

So how often do people really want to play each other? Is 2 non-conference games enough? But what if you are the only human in your conference?

Also, what parameters should we have on your other non-conference games. I lean towards letting the coach decide which cupcake to play or not. But then again we should have some some standards. Like 2 human games, 1 cupcake, 1 Top 25 team? Anyone have any ideas on that part?

Then we have to decide when to start the Dynasty. Of course the game comes out July 15th. Do people want to start that weekend (18-20) or maybe the next week to give everyone a week or so of warm up on the new game?

Anything else I didn't mention? Just throw it out there. Questions... comments? The forum is open.

sounds good

I like All-American better than heisman, it seems like the computer cheats sometimes on heisman................

I say we start on the 21st (monday) 6 days should be long enough to get a feel for the game

Yeah, the invites might go out a little before that (Sunday?). That is how things work according to the EA website. The commish creates the dynasty and then sends out invites for everyone. So that might be a day or two right there.

Cuz really the first "week" is the preseason stuff. Redshirting, depth charts, creating the schedule and your recruiting board. THEN after everyone does that the first week can start. Hopefully that goes by fast so we can get to week 1.

I agree. BTW, I am in and my PS3 name is the sames as my BP name. Sorry it took be so long to confirm here. My family and I just moved to Oklahoma City for a new job, so it's been a little hectic.

But I am in fo' sho.

Not gonna lie, I'd almost prefer to be able to select my own team, because I usually play with 2 or 3 teams in particular when playing under 79 games and what not.

Noted... so far we got 2 for the draft and 2 for first come first serve. So we will need everyone to chime in to let us know your preference (And don't wussy out and say you don't care)

I say let people choose..

If we do 7 minute quarters, does that mean we have to play the computer in 7 minute quarters as well? Is there a sim to the end of the game feature if we are beating down a team?

That's a vote for 1st come 1st serve? Cuz either way people "choose" :biggrin:

Good point on the quarter length, I believe that is correct on the 7 minute quarters. It would be for both human & computer games.

Surprised no one has mentioned that yet. (or voiced a concern over it) I have no preference, just used 7 minutes as I read a few other leagues going at 7 minutes. Do people think that would be too long? Especially since it seems like we will be playing about 67% of the time against the computer.

For my offline dynasties I normally set it at 7 minutes because I mostly play as a run oriented team and it seemed like that setting produced more realistic stats. (whereas at 5 minutes I could have a drive that lasted a quarter and a half if I wanted it too)

Supersim should also be in the game and can be up to the individual player. But does anyone want a rule that if you are up by X pts you have to super sim the rest of the game? But it might be a more on the honor system as I don't think there will be a way to know if that happens of not.
