I think one of them wins the acc. There both tough and.just need few more games to become a scary team to play

If vick evers gets some good help on the line and from the wr's, he could be just like his brother was

N.C.STATE has a great defense that kills themselves. no discipline at all
but, could be one of the top teams in the top 5

chuch d'amato has the biggest man boobs i think ive ever seen.... but anyways nc state shoulda won... 115 penalty yds is ridiculous, the running into the kicker penalty at the end hurt the most, although i must say that the kicker is the biggest pussy ive ever seen, or he shouldve won an oscar for that acting shit he pulled

That was pretty flimsy running into the kicker. If it was a penalty, though, then it should be called.

I always get annoyed at the announcers who get mad at the ref's for "deciding the game." The one announcer's argument was that even if it was a penalty it shouldn't be called as it "didn't affect the play."

Well, genius announcer guy, then apparently running into the kicker should never be called, as the kick has always already been made and the play not affected (unless the kicker was the last guy to make a tackle or something crazy). The point is if you call those early, or ever, in a game then you have to call them at the end of a game as well- otherwise only calling a penalty early in the game may be "deciding the game." Similarly, by not calling the penalty the ref, by not following the rules, could be deciding the game.

God that irks me. . .

I love the comment at the end of the game: "Virginia Tech keeps their national championship hopes alive by winning the opener". Uhhhh....if there was a team capable of winning the national championship that played today...I didn't see them.

i can see that argument... however, you must admit that NC State was a VERY tough first game for Vick... this wasn't like Texas tech in '02 for us, or even like Washington in '03... if NC State gets ANY semblance of offense, they will be a force to be reckoned with... while i agree that it is WAYYYY too soon to annoint the Hokies as a serious contender, you cannot deny that Vick will come around, as will the WR corps... the D is there... the ST are there... all they need is some cohesion on O...

Sorry, but I was not impressed at all with the "Hesiman Hopefull" Marcus Vick. He put up around 108 yards through the air and a total of 3sum yards on the ground. I thought with all the hype he would be bustin out 180 yards in the air, and laying down over 100 yards on the ground with a secure win.
