2028 DE Cassell Cruickshank and DT Jamarcus Johnson​

From a recruiting perspective, no Ohio State assistant has a bigger weekend ahead than Larry Johnson, as two of the best defensive linemen in the entire 2028 class are expected at Ohio Stadium for Saturday’s game.

Cruickshank, whose trip to Columbus was reported by 247Sports on Thursday, is ranked as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 7 overall prospect in the class. A 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end from North Carolina who’s being pursued by just about every major program in college football, Cruickshank will be making his first visit to Ohio State after receiving an offer from the Buckeyes. His brother Mikhie Cruickshank, a 2028 safety with seven FBS offers, will also be visiting.
