2028 DE Cassell Cruickshank and DT Jamarcus Johnson
From a recruiting perspective, no Ohio State assistant has a bigger weekend ahead than Larry Johnson, as two of the best defensive linemen in the entire 2028 class are expected at Ohio Stadium for Saturday’s game.Cruickshank, whose trip to Columbus was reported by 247Sports on Thursday, is ranked as the No. 2 edge rusher and No. 7 overall prospect in the class. A 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end from North Carolina who’s being pursued by just about every major program in college football, Cruickshank will be making his first visit to Ohio State after receiving an offer from the Buckeyes. His brother Mikhie Cruickshank, a 2028 safety with seven FBS offers, will also be visiting.

Rutgers had a receiver with that last name that used to give us nightmares. Hopefully we land Cassell and we can cleanse the pallet on that name.

He started at Wisconsin. Went to the same high school as Curtis Samuel. Got a long look from Urban, but ultimately never got an offer.

Also per Tom Loy, Ohio State is in a great spot with Cassell Cruickshank following his first visit to Ohio State last weekend. Battling Florida, Auburn, Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Per Anna Adams, Ohio State and Tennessee could be separating themselves for 5* edge Cassell Cruickshank. Other schools involved that he has visited this season are Oklahoma, Auburn, South Carolina and Duke.
He has visits remaining this season to Florida, Notre Dame, Texas and Texas A&M. His visit to Alabama this weekend has been cancelled.

Just a schlub from Y-town
Never like a recruiting match game between OSU and TN.
TN is willing to throw everything at a recruit, and OSU is not.

Yeah pretty much just bet that if NIL is the primary factor, then we likely aren't draining the bank like UT.

Their answer will be, “but look at Miami and Indiana”. Schools like that will just keep spending until it turns to wins. I mean I’m some at Tennessee will point to their win over Bama this year.
