This was the best episode in the past 2 seasons.

Their hour episodes are often awful. Halfway thru so far, and this is no exception. What a waste given the time slot.
The opening scene was one of the few decent parts, but was nowhere near the best. Same with Dwight and the organ removal, exception to the overall episode.
Bears, beets, battlestar gallactica.
I cooked my foot.
This isn't snl people, the standards are pretty high, especially for declarations of alltime greatness.
Quite a bit of awkward silence or variations of highlighting the pathetic aspects of Michael, just in sad ways more than funny.

Agreed 100%. I was very critical of most of season four because the writers seemed to be "dumbing it down" a little too much IMO. This season had been much better thus far, but this may have been a new low. Too slapsticky. It's like they were trying to attract new viewers. The thing that has made The Office so good is it's genuine feel, awkward situations and subtle humor, not Michael being a caracature of himself, and that's what they did for much of last season (driving a car into a lake because the gps told him too) and a lot of tonight. Very disappointed. Hopefully it's just a one time thing and not a downward trend to what has been a solid season thus far.jwinslow;1396830; said:
