Good-sport barber is all the buzz

bHcoHi

Maybe it?s the national TV exposure or maybe they just needed a lift after a grueling practice, but Boston Celtics players Kendrick Perkins and Glen ?Big Baby? Davis took a time-out Saturday for a haircut. Forget the salons nearby on Rodeo Drive. The man for the job was Monster99 - real name Angel Lucas Pena - who had flown from Miami to L.A., where he patiently waited at the team?s hotel for Perk and Baby to get the all-clear from Doc Rivers . ?Come on, you?ve got to look good for the Finals,? 99 told the Track after giving Perk a snip in his hotel room. ?Everybody?s watching you on TV.? And speaking of watching, Monster99, who is the unofficial barber of Major League Baseball, videotapes his haircuts for his Web series, ?30 Stars, 30 Haircuts, 30 Weeks.? He hopes to parlay the vids into a reality series.

On a night when the Lakers set a Finals record with 14 blocks, and Ray Allen went 0-4 in the paint - how can a Phil Jackson team not have the awareness to guard Allen at the 3-point line?

They need Fisher to stay out of foul trouble so he can chase Ray around screens for most of the game.

Playoffs really sucked this year considering all the great series' on paper and it's continuing with the Finals. Would be nice to see a back-and-forth game at least once.

A decent 4th quarter tonight. Looks like Derek Fisher is going to be the difference down the stretch tonight.

87-80 Lakers with 50 seconds left.

Yeah I don't know what the deal was with Ray...I guess that's why there are 3-point shooters and then there are superstars.

This is a team win for the Lakers tonight, they played good defense and bailed out alot of Kobe's bad shots.

The only player in this series that I truly like would be Ray Allen, but I have to cheer for the Lakers because Boston sports fans became insufferable after 2004.

The fact that Paula Pierce and KG are a couple of Grade A bitches just makes it easier.

Rivers: Fisher a really good flopper

By Dave McMenamin

BOSTON -- Count Celtics coach Doc Rivers as one person who won't be marching in the Derek Fisher appreciation parade that commenced Tuesday after the 14-year veteran scored 11 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Lakers to a 91-84 Game 3 victory in the Finals.

When asked how Fisher was able to be so successful drawing fouls while being screened, Rivers replied: "What? Besides flopping? He doesn't do a lot extra.

...

:tibor: I find it amazing that anyone who coaches a team led by Paul Pierce would have the gall to claim that an opposing team's player flops.

Fuck the Celtics.

Fuck instant replay when it has to give the ball to the team that fouls in order for the ball to go out of bounds.
