NBA Discussion (Official Thread)

(Sorry don't mind me, I'm just gonna hang out on your guys' lawns a little longer)

If you can really stomach to watch even more of this game the first part of the first quarter starts at 7 minutes. Spoiler: it doesn't get much better. This was an NBA Finals game between the best in the era.

LaVars reaction alone would be epic. He would be liable to have a stroke.

That alone would be enough reason to to do it. The social media meltdown would be icing on the cake.

Magic would also feel some pressure to make a trade for him because his fan base already assumes he's theirs. If I'm the Sixers, at the very least I'm calling Magic tomorrow and making him sweat. Then again, maybe I just float the balloon on Twitter...

If LeBron goes to LAL it isn't for money it's because they give him the best chance to win. That and the whole banana boat crew is probably up for signing minimum deals to play together for a couple years. Don't know that LA has the young pieces to win now.

If they all go to LA, may they sign with the Clippers.

That's entirely possible, but the Clippers are in worse shape than the Lakers right now IMO. They can either overpay a roster that hasn't gotten out of the second round of the playoffs or burn it to the ground. The Lakers, meanwhile, have Brandon Ingram, the 2nd pick in the draft, cap space, and the Los Angeles Lakers' logo on the front of their jerseys. I think trading Russell to get out of the Mozgov contract was asinine, but the franchise still has major draw to players like Paul George and Kevin Love.
