when it's top 2 a lot of kick ass bands are going to be left off

I'm more saddened by only one guy listing TBDBITL

we as a collective fanbase need to take a long look in the mirror and ask ourselves where our fucking heads are at only two weeks prior to fall camp

we've shamed ourselves here

There's still great new rock music out there. You just have to look a little harder these days to find it. Even more tricky as we age: You have to keep your mind open to it. (Says the guy who is listening to The Replacements as he types this)

Oh..........and for anyone a fan of old school rock, The Who, etc. have you checked out Umphrey's McGee? Yes they are a jam band with long songs but they are the real deal. Hard to pigeon hole but jazz fusion elements, Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, you can hear many styles..........but they just simply shred.

A friend of mine had Jon Wurster play drums on his new-ish album. They tour together with Bob Mould. Have always wanted to hang with Jon... he's flipp'n funny.

Really hard to narrow down to top two. If pressed:

Streetlight Minifesto
Bob Mould Band -- But only because I get Husker Du, Bob solo and Sugar in the same show.

Reel Big Fish is getting a lot more ear time than Bob Mould these days tho...
