Name your two favorite bands

if i were interviewing someone to write for a music mag and the candidate admitted that he's never listened to pink floyd, the interview would stop right there. i wouldn't even hire that person for the mail room. in fact, i'd probably stick my pen in his ear drums since they're useless anyway.
It was a regional (like, Detroit to D.C. kinda thing) called Moo, and some freelance stuff. I was a kid in college. It was all ground level music (today we would say "indie"). So. . . not really into big bands. Some bands were, but not many.

To name a few I worked with, and these are the "big" names, to give an idea:

God Lives Underwater
Primus
Dance Hall Crashers (this had Tim and Matt from Rancid)
Ned's Atomic Dustbin (still love them)
Figdish (bassist ended up dating my ex)
Veruca Salt (had a WEIRD night with the girls, Nina dated the singer of Figdish. . . The rest of us ended up lost and tanked at a laundrymat in Cinci watching Half Japaneses).

The strangest thing is that we would get calls to take the guys out when they were in town, bigger bands, like an escort service. The worst thing I saw was when Trent Reznor was here his golden retriever jumped off the top of a parking garage for some reason. That guy was wrecked.

I was at that show in the old Ohio Center. He found out after the main set and was so upset, he didn't do an encore.

Its a very limited tour ... like 5 or 6 shows... Eddie really isn't part of TotD he only provides background vocals on Hunger Strike.
yeah, eddie's not actually a member of totd; although, he provides a lot more than backing vocals on hunger strike. he's as much a lead for that song as cornell. i'd be a little surprised if eddie doesn't show up for at least one concert. the crowd would go absolutely nuts if he walks out on stage unannounced.

temple of the dog just announced that they will be touring. unfortunately, eddie is not slated to appear.

hunger strike without eddie vedder? that's just not right.
IIRC Temple of the Dog was a collaboration of Soundgarden and Mother Love Bone (Apple is a great album) after MLB's singer died. Eddie wasn't that involved and not on the scene yet. Since that project got big after Pearl Jam's success, people assumed it was Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but that wasn't the case.
