Multiple shootings at Va Tech

There was a girl from Pittsburgh that went to Pine~Richland High School that was shot 3 times & she is expected to recover from this.
This is such a horrific tragedy. Why? Why? Why?:(
My heart goes out to all the families in this tragic event.

Maybe because we let the crazy fucker come over from Shanghai.

...along with the crazy fuckers we let in from England, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary...

you know if you think about the Unibomber, Jeffery Dahlmer, Oklahoma City, Columbine, the I-271 sniper, Jim Jones, Whacko Waco, Texas etc, etc it would seem that part of the solution would be to export some crazy Euro-American fuckers....

The numbers are staggering. There were more murders committed yesterday in Blacksburg than will be committed in a year in many "civilized" countries. Is it our gun laws? Is it our culture? Something is definitely different.

I'm just saying that if somehow she's still alive out there, regardless of the fact that she's an innocent person, she's would probably experience a great deal of guilt knowing that this happened because that psychopath was looking for her. I'm not saying that anything is actually her fault. That's fucking stupid. It would just be human nature in that situation though to feel a tremendous amount of guilt. I know I would, anyway.

Also, if she survived, imagine how differently and unfairly she would be treated by people who know or found out who she was. At the very least, she'd probably have to go through a witness protection-type change to even come close to living the long, happy life that Tibor wished for her.

Most certainly. Not to take anything away from the tragic events in Blacksburg, but if these were the only murders in the nation yesterday, it would have been a better than average day. There were over 16,600 murders in 2005. (LINK) 45 per day? Disgusting.

Call me jaded (or cold or cruel or heartless), but another 33 doesn't leave me much more disturbed than I already was. Obviously the circumstances surrounding this tragedy make it more newsworthy, but I can't say I find myself more appalled this morning than I do any other morning when I read the newspaper.

What a world. :sad2:

in a country of around 300 million that statistic is not that staggering compared to other countries.

I saw some really groundbreaking and enlightening commentary on the whole 'school violence' issue last night. An expert told the audience that school officials need to "identify and treat troubled students who have guns". At long last, a real solution to this epidemic.
