I use a Macbook, so I don't have a scroll wheel. I did find this link, which you may have seen, but it seems like someone else had the same problem and found a fix: Firefox 3.6 scroll wheel scrolls too much - AnandTech Forums

Let me know if you get the problem fixed and when you make a new Persona.

Thanks for the link die, mine is currently set to 1 (not 3 or 6), so I'm not sure that helps, but it was a good idea. Most of the searching I did turned up errors with tabs loading improperly via middle click.

hmm, looks like it was a free spin / auto scroll problem. I disabled that and it seems to be working fine. It's interesting that it never happened to me before in any browser with this mouse.
