No. I still say it's more dangerous to stop than it is to risk the merge. Actually, without having been there, I won't pass judgment...but it sure sounds like you drive like a homo. Additionally, I stand by my statement that there is no way in all of hell and most of Georgia that there is any entrance ramp that is only 40 feet long.

Are you blind and deaf, I said the merge area is only about 40 ft long, not the ramp.

Dude...Whatever you are smokin' I want some of it cause damn I could have sworn I already told you about three times already the ramp is longer than 40 ft......

Go back and read my opinion, numbnuts. It's clear as day...I've always said the ramp couldn't be shorter than 40 feet, which is what YOU said originally. Just because you later changed "the facts" doesn't mean my opinion changed. I will re--phrase:

Barring construction or a funeral procession, I have yet to see an entrance ramp or situation where the merging vehicle needs to stop instead of merging.

You're just mad because you drive like a homo, and you know it.

Well... it is more dangerous to stop than not... unless you aren't going fast enough with the traffic or there is too much traffic. While Thump Probably does drive like a homo... there are times when you jst can't get to a reasonble speed, (think ramps with construction those dumb little merge areas on divided- but not- interstate highways. (also, if you guys don't think these types of things really exist, go to NJ)

The one thing Thump does have right however is that if you don't think you can merge... you are supposed to stop... that's what yield means. Keep this in mind, if you are merging from an on ramp to a highway... you have absolutely zero, zip, zilch no rights to get on that road. No one has to move over a lane (though its nice of them, if they can) and no one has to slow down or speed up to let you in anymore than they have to stop to let you out of a softball field... its the same as an intersection and, do you pull out in traffic when a car is going to hit you? No.

Of course the dnagerous pert of merginf is that assholes don't realize that they have no rights... so not everyone is doing the same thing... my personal favorite is when you're doing one of those exits where (usually on an overpass) where the on ramp and off ramp are the same lane... and I'm merging onto the highway but going the same speed (and even) with someone trying to get off the highway...and the dude getting off slows down to let me go in front of him... this really annoys me, because I'm already off the gas a bit to let him off the highway.... why? Because he has the fucking right of way. Columbus, is the WORST for this...

At any rate, my pet peeves? People who have no fucking idea what the traffic laws are... clearly.... led by people who turn left into the far lane... lazy fuckers, learn to control your vehicle.
