The only picture I can remember is CG biting on Evans' out and up against Wisconsin.
yeah, it wasn't like he had a ton of huge INTs for us in 02 or anything :roll2: all ou can remember was on emistake by a coerner who won many games for us en route to a title?

gamble makes 1 mistake against wisconsin, and you can't forgive him despite being pivotal in our championship year? Just to jog your selective memory:
- Cincinnati: 4th qtr, UC up 19-14, threatening to score again in the redzone. Gamble intercepts the ball in the endzone.
- Wisconsin: 48 yd reception (sets up FG)
- Wisconsin: 4th qtr, OSU up 19-14, Wisc on our 29, Gamble another INT in the endzone
- Penn State: 40 yd INT return to WIN the freaking ball game, arguably the loudest moment ever in the shoe
- Purdue: INT at our 11 yd line to end Orton's comeback attempt and seal the win
- Michigan: great defense, helped shut down Michigan's O
- Miami: great D, and a 57 yd catch to set up a FG

but you're right, all that matters is that he made one mistake against Wisconsin :!

It seems to me that the rumors of him taking plays off to avoid injury (towards the end of the 2003 season) have somewhat hurt his standing in the eyes of some fans.

yeah, he only had an INT that set up a 20 yard scoring drive, and nearly had another INT,which would surely have gone for six...
Ok so he had an INT, nearly having an INT doesn't count and speculation is worthless...don't get me wrong lv, i thought gamble was a hell of a buckeye, but i dont think we got 100% from him at the end of '03

Maybe if our offense wasn't so pathetic than we wouldn't have relied on him that heavily. I find it comical how people blame one person for losing games that were clearly lost as a team. Our corners weren't cutting it, so we had to throw an ATH (not a true corner) at CB. Sooner or later (in this case later), he messed up.
