Modern Warfare 3.

GameInformer gave it a harsh review. Pretty much saying it felt more like a map pack than a sequel. I'm still planning on picking it up....maybe even at midnight tonight if I can make it. Xbox GT: TJnTN

9.0 on IGN.

My brother went and got it at midnight, I'll wait until the end of the month when they inevitably knock a few bucks off it for Black Friday.

He was playing it this afternoon, looked great. It certainly looks better than BF3, which isn't meant to slight BF3 as much as to indicate how nice MW3 looked. Smooth, good sound, seemed very polished.

And I'll be honest, I understand that people hate on the game because they are basically slightly updated in each iteration, but I still enjoy them. It's the perfect compliment to BF3's "hunker down" gameplay that isn't as fast paced. Like, the arcade shooter to BF3's sim.

Either way, I'll be playing the shit out of both of these, and can't wait to get my hands on this one.

The worst part is, it was a last minute decision to buy it...... at 1am. We go up to Wal-Mart, which is right next to our GameStop and there are STILL people lined up in the parking lot for it. We casually walk in to Wal-Mart, proceed to wait behind one person in the electronics section, and then bought it. :lol:

This black guy was behind us getting a mic and he asked if we were getting the game, we said yeah. He said, "man so I waited in that long ass line for 3 hours for no reason?"

Pretty much.... :rofl:

Then we rubbed it in the people's faces STILL waiting in line after we left.

The Gamestops around here in NE Ohio handle midnight releases very well. They let you come in the day of anytime and pay for the game ahead of time and they ring you out and give you your receipt. Then, at midnight they let the line start flowing through the store and they are just checking your receipt, marking it, and handing out the game so for BF3 the line of 200 or so was in and out in less than a half hour.

I picked mine up at noon today on my way home, and the line was out the door at GameStop and everyone in line were 20-30 year guys in business clothes (myself included) or mom/grandma's picking the game up for their kids.

So far i've only played Deathmatch and Survival Mode. I absolutely love the Survival Mode! It's like Zombies on steroids...pretty sure i've play it for about 3hrs since getting the game. The rest of the night I will most likely be playing the Campaign, which I have been looking forward to alot.

No kidding, I did the same thing last year. I stood in the Gamestop line for about 2 minutes before I was smart enough just to head over to Walmart. There was one person in front of me in the line, and he didn't even get the game. I scoffed at the people in the Gamestop line when I left. Priceless.
