from wiki
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game set to be released in November 2011[1]. It will be the eighth installment in the Call of Duty series. Due to a legal dispute between the game's publisher Activision and the former co-executives of Infinity Ward - which caused several lay-offs and departures within the company[2] - Sledgehammer Games will assist in the development of the singleplayer, and Raven Software will develop the multiplayer.[1] The game is said to have been in development since only two weeks after the release of their previous game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.[1] Sledgehammer is aiming for a "bug free" first outing in the Call of Duty franchise, which also sets a goal for Metacritic review scores above 95 percent.[3]

pretty pissed, also just read this may be a prequel with Ghost being the lead character....squeezing this for all it's worth, I just wanted to play it to see how it ended...why not finish the original story arc before you go into prequels assholes

Infinity Ward is NOT publishing any more CoD / MW games. They didn't get the contract with Activision from what I read. Its gonna be done by a company I have never heard of. And it will be their first project. I will try to dig the info up. But being that it WON'T be IW, I won't be buying it. TREYARCH is garbage!

UGH... Worst news I've heard.... I'll boycott as well. Maybe rent, not buying.

Have you played Wager Match yet? That is by far the best part of the game. Even playing the 10 point matches are a riot.

Yeah, never really could get into it though. It's not because I couldn't win.. even if I couldn't, I have a ridiculous amount of money built up on that game (I think I was near 500k when I stopped playing).

trailer looks sweet, as always. They should have dropped it on 11/11/11 just because that date looks sweet

Aren't they offering a subscription for this COD game?

Classic Activision pocket cleansing tactic.

Wouldn't surprise me. If they do, I have no problem investing in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (which is also featured in that video). GR:FS looks sick, and has put out nice games for a while now. Looks like they've taken weapon customization to a whole new level, in a good way. Not like Black Ops, kid friendly customization.
