The four-star receiver committed to Ohio State in August but the St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers standout was at Oregon this past weekend for its huge win over Colorado. The message from coach Dan Lanning and his staff was clear: They’re going to do “whatever it takes” to get McClellan as he’s a major flip target for Oregon.
Will it happen? No sign yet but the Ducks aren’t going to stop.
“They want me bad,” McClellan said.
Good news, and it’s a shame the bolded didn’t transpire.Oregon insider Justin Hopkins says WR Jeremiah McClellan is not on any kind of flip watch.
McClellan's visit to Oregon this past weekend was primarily to see a good game.
McClellan, while solid with his pledge to the Buckeyes, is being heavily pursued by Oregon and his home state Missouri Tigers which potentially leaves an opening for a change of plans.
Then you have another group of recruits from the region in
Bryce West, Brauntae Johnson, Brian Robinson, Marquise Lightfoot, NiTareon Tuggle, Brandon Davis-Swain, Jeremiah McClellan and Grant Brix who all sit inside the top 100, play positions of value and could make moves with continued high end performances. I see two as being the very minimum when it comes to Midwest prospects getting the five-star bump, but we could potentially see as many as four or five when all is said and done.
I would definitely take that visit if I am Jeremiah. Eugene is a really fun town and gameday is a blast, especially for a big game. But at the end of the day, he knows where money is made and it is at WR U.Oregon insider Justin Hopkins says WR Jeremiah McClellan is not on any kind of flip watch.

The four-star receiver from St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers committed to Ohio State in August but like others McClellan is taking visits in case position coach Brian Hartline leaves or something else changes. He was at Oregon recently and loved it and now Missouri is back involved as he was at the thriller against LSU over the weekend. The message from coach Eli Drinkwitz was that the Tigers would not stop recruiting him until the end and McClellan “loved everything about” his trip to Columbia where he spent time with five-star
