Now that the MLB Division Series matchups are set, the odds for the 2024 World Series champion have been updated.

Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Los Angeles Dodgers lead the field with +350 odds (bet $100 to win $350), slightly ahead of the New York Yankees at +370.

Here are the odds for the eight teams still in the playoff field:
  • Los Angeles Dodgers: +350
  • New York Yankees: +370
  • Philadelphia Phillies: +450
  • San Diego Padres: +650
  • Kansas City Royals: +850
  • Cleveland Guardians: +850
  • Detroit Tigers: +950
  • New York Mets: +950

In the past three years the teams who earned byes in the playoffs have failed 7 of 10 times to advance.

As of tonight two more of those teams are 1 game from elimination.

It does not pay to sit and wait when you have been playing every day for 5 months.
I am curious to see if we’ll see the same thing with the expanded college football playoffs.

In the past, I would say that the disparity between the top teams and mid tier teams are too high, but has a NIL and the portal created more parity?

Fuck yeah, Freddie. If there’s a more likable guy in the league than Freeman, I don’t know who it is. So fucking stoked for him after such a rough year off the field.

Totally agree! Love it when good things happen to good people. Plus it makes for good baseball watching on a Friday night. That ball was smoked.
