Scott Feldman for the Reds allowed 4 in one inning in 2017.
They left him in for one more after that.
Last year Eovaldi from Boston set the MLB record with 5 taters allowed in a single inning.

If it were up to me I’d keep this format but make every round a best of 7. Best team wins over 7 games a high percentage of the time.
3 and 5 are just too short and random. Anybody can beat anybody in MLB over 3 games.

I remember the NBA used to have best out of 5 series in the first round. I believe they’ve been best out of seven for a while now.

Right now Game 7 of the World Series would be November 4th. I don't think anybody wants baseball to last another couple weeks.

That’s not too bad.
NFL is mostly filler until Thanksgiving to me, so a little bit more baseball wouldn’t hurt.

Also, in several northern cities the weather can really get a little too cold to comfortably play and/or watch baseball in mid November.

A seven game wild card round? Guys have played 6 days a week for seven months and they're going to take two weeks off?
A two-week bye is not advantageous in baseball.
One game wild card. Don't want to play in that then win your division. Then seven game series after that.
