MLB General Discussion (Official Thread)

I don't mind the format, I think the games just sucked.

If we had 4 games a day for 3 straight days with a winner take all Thursday this week everyone would be talking about how great the new format is.

Nah, I never liked wild card series for reasons stated in my previous post. I didn't even want it the two times the Pirates lost wild card games. Fans were crying it should be a series and my response was win the division and you won't have to worry about it.

Now even a division winner gets sucked into a wild card series. I know why they did it - the same reason every sport expands their playoffs - I just don't like it. Winning your division should be more of an advantage than it is now.

100% As much as I hate the Brewers, they got screwed on this one. Winning the Central this year was more competitive than the other races in the NL and just like that, they're gone. Brutal

MLB highest scoring team who hadnt been shutout at home all season of course gets shut out in game 1 of NLDS

Philly 3
Atl 0

Phillies knocked them off last year in the postseason. They've got a lot of veterans. If they get in the playoffs they don't seem to GAF about what happened in the regular season.
