What trips me out is the .197 BA. Back in the day when I was a big fan in the 70's and 80's hitting under .240 was almost unthinkable for a player to keep his starting job. And this dude hits lead off? WTF.And over 100 K's too. LOL that's impressive though from my hometown Middie!

Yeah they have all these new stats and formulas which really tell a lot. The game is changing and evolving. I do miss the days of playing in old outdoor stadiums, manufacturing runs, hustling down the line on ground outs. The last game I went to I felt like I was at the mall, everything so sterile. I didn't even enjoy the game. I played baseball growing up and it was my first love but it just doesn't talk to me anymore.Because people didn’t understand how flawed batting average was in determining a players offensive value.
